Design of low-power Viterbi decoder with feedback pointer based on FPGA

Abstract:In order to meet the requirement of low power consumption and performance in complex wireless communication system, a Viterbi decoder using feedback pointer is proposed. In the decoding process, the proposed decoder makes one-to-one relationship in state transitions at every adjacent moment. Since Viterbi decoder always starts from state 0, the decoded bits are output by the updating state pointer which points to current state in the decoding path. Simulation and implementation results of FPGA and CMOS show that the decoder has 60% power reduction with less time delay, and it performs well at a high signal-to-noise ratio environment. This decoder is particularly applicable to the situation that has long constraint length and large decode states.

Portable track recorder and Google Earth redisplay system

Abstract:A set of portable track recorder with Google Earth representation system is designed based on MSP430F148 as the control core and E580 as the receiving module of GPS. The paper expounds hardware circuit and software of the platform. The hardware platform receives GPS information by UART of MCU, displays the real-time longitude and latitude through LCD, which will be stored in flash memory at the same time. All the stored information of longitude and latitude are sent to PC by USB interface. The PC software will convert the information to regular KML format file. Therefore, once the KML file is recognized by Google Earth software,the track of the target will be displayed on screen. The system has features of lower power consumption and simple operation, and can be very easily applied to logistics tracking, query of bus information and other projects.

Realization and simulation of rate matching based on FPGA in LTE system

Abstract:Rate matching is one of the most important parts in TD_LTE system. Based on intensive research of Turbo code rate matching algorithm of 3GPP protocol,an implementation scheme is proposed based on FPGA rate matching.The scheme runs the ping-pong operation to reduce rate matching processing delay.And with Virtex-6 chip as a platform,it completes the simulation,comprehensive and board level verification,etc.The experimental results show that the program based on the rate matching algorithm can obviously reduce processing delay.

Research on monitoring system based on embedded GSM-R

Abstract:At present, most of the GSM-R data monitoring device takes the PC as its controller, to monitor railway GSM-R signal through the mobile monitoring vehicles equipped with sophisticated equipment. This paper puts forward a kind of the GSM-R portable data monitoring system,which take OMAP-L138 as embedded microcontroller processor.This system receives the GSM-R digital intermediate frequency signal through the monitoring terminal data acquisition module with GSM-R network, data processing module completes GSM-R digital intermediate frequency signal monitoring and interference analysing. If there is the interference,then data analysis module resolves the interference cell ID and interference sources cell ID. It makes analysis of interference more targeted.The system has the advantages of small size, rich functions, and convenient control. It has broad prospects.

Design of redundant CAN bus for aerostat inertial attitude measurement system

Abstract:In order to improve the CAN communication ability of aerostat inertial attitude measurement system under severe environment, a system method of double-CAN redundant bus is designed. Two LPC11C24 micro-controllers with high integration are used to establish the redundant system based on DSP & FPGA navigation computer. The system′s function is tested and verified with upper computer. The test result shows that this redundant system performs well. Slave CAN starts working when ever the master CAN fails. Fault tolerance is stable. The reliability and quality of aerostat inertial attitude measurement system are enhanced without adding cost and space.

The portability of TinyOS to the chip of CC2530

Abstract:Aiming at the problem that the CC2530 platform wasn’t supported by TinyOS, the fessibility of TinyOS was analyzed,and then, the portability of the TinyOS component to the CC2530 was completed, which included the Timer component, the Adc component, the Radio component, the Uart component, the I/O component and the Flash component. Lastly, the correctness of portability has been verified. The results show that every component is working well. It means that TinyOS has supported the CC2530 platform.

Abstract:Soil moisture and soil temperature are important soil factors. It is an important indicator of the production and research, such as agriculture, water conservancy and so on. Therefore, accurate measurement of these two elements is particularly important. LPC1766 is choosen as CPU to design a portable data collection system. The soil moisture and soil temperature can be detected anywhere and be displayed real-timely. The ARM Cortex-M3 embedded systems is chosen as the processor. The portable instrument is low power consumption, easy for operation and carry.

3 GHz~5 GHz UWB LNA with steady noise figure

Abstract:An ultra-wideband LNA circuit with cascade structure and source negative feedback inductance is introduced in this paper. It is combined with Butterworth filter theory,which is used to achieve input and output matching network of amplifier. And the paper presents the detailed analysis of the circuit noise figure. This circuit based on 0.18 μm CMOS technology is simulated for 3 GHz~5 GHz using ADS software. Simulation results show that amplifier consumes 13.2 mW from 1.8 V supply voltage. The measured max gain is 15 dB, and noise figure is less than 1.647 dB within the entire band. The input rejection coefficient is below -10 dB and the output rejection coefficient is below -14 dB.

The waveshaping filter of WSN channel based on FPGA

Abstract:For analog filter design has poor flexibility and can not be a good solution to support data parallelism and speed, this paper uses the Altera CycloneII series of EP2C35F672C6N chip to complete the WSN channel pulse shaping filter based on FPGA. Through the function to create the table look-up method, calculation of coefficient, establish memory data table, Veilog-HDL programming, Quartus-II platform under FPGA, ModelSim timing simulation, DE2 development board download debugging process, it realizes the waveshaping hardware platform communicate with mainframe through USB interface. The test results show that the waveshaping filter has advantages of a low cost, scalable frequency, plug and play, etc., and it′s easy to use.

Design of a second-order compensated bandgap reference

Abstract:Based on sectional compensation principle and that the drain current of the MOS transistor is squared relationship function of the overdrive voltage, the design proposes a novel second-order compensation structure.Just introducing a current which is a square relation with temperature, both compensates the reference voltage for the low temperature stage and the high temperature stage, greatly improving the stability of the reference voltage source varying with temperature. By using 0.5 μm BCD process to simulate circuit ,the results show that the output voltage is 1.24 V, and when the temperature range from -35 ℃ to 135 ℃,the temperature coefficient is 2.82 ppm/℃. And at low frequencies, power supply rejection ratio is 75.6 dB.

Design of Ku-band comb-like spectrum generator based on ADS

Abstract:Comb-like spectrum generator is one of the key techniques of wide-band agility synthesizer, which can generate base signals with low spurs, low phase noise more conveniently and efficiently for the wide-band agility synthesizer in the radar system. In this paper, a design method based on ADS software is presented. A comb-like spectrum generator is simulated and designed, with an input frequency of 720 MHz and an output frequency covering 12 960 MHz~16 560 MHz. These series of Ku-band frequencies can be supplied to an agility synthesizer for the purpose of widening the frequency bandwidth. Meanwhile, it has the characteristics of excellent spectrum purity and low phase noise.

Design of intelligent track-seeking dolly based on SoPC

Abstract:This design takes the Cyclone series FPGA CMOS chip—EP1C12Q240C8 as control unit. The Cyclone belongs to SoPC Series—E-Play1c12. Besides, the system also includes DC electric machineries, photo electricity sensors, ultrasonic sensors, power supply circuits and other circuits. The dolly is controlled to locomote along the black line in track-seeking zone and to accelerate or decelerate in special zone. In the light-seeking zone, the dolly is guided by lamp-house to locomote and stops at the end line. Meanwhile, the lattice LCD located in the head of the dolly shows the time and distance of the locomotion.

A novel algorithm of phase control of a brushless DC motor

Abstract:Based on the analysis of RC hardware filter and FIR digital filter, this paper designed the BEMF-crossing-zero hardware detecting circuit and software detecting algorithm, and fitted the frequency curve of the phase change angle by using Matlab. The results of hardware and software were fused according to the weight, which was changed with the frequency. And then a phase change angle was got, which was consistent with the actual. The angle was used to control the phase change with different frequency by DSP processor, and the BLDCM rotated smoothly,that verified that the method was reasonable and efficient for sensorless brushless DC motor control.

A CODEC circuit for passive RFID

Abstract:A digital CODEC circuit for passive 13.56 MHz RFID tags based on ISO/IEC 14443 protocol is presented in this paper. The circuit is designed and fabricated based on the Altera FPGA. The circuit realizes the decoding of the modified Miller code and Manchester encoding modulated by the subcarrier, and provides the communication interface based on SPI slave for the rear-end protocol stack circuit.

An artificial immune-inspired alert model in network intrusion detection

Abstract:Based on the Snort intrusion detection system and combing with the real-time network risk evaluation theory, a new artificial immune-inspired intrusion detection alarm model, referred as SAIM, is presented. The definition of memory cell in the network security domain is depicted, and the real-time network risk calculation of memory cell is given. The risk of each type network attack, as well as holistic risk degrees of the host, can be calculated quantificationally and in real time. Finally, the network intrusion detection alarm model is built. Both the theory analysis and experimental results show that SAIM can associate the related alarm information and improve the alarm quality.

Design and realization of fault detection device in power cars

Abstract:With the increased development of complicated and intelligent equipment and the shortage of indemnity, we had proposed an intelligent fault detection device. Through automatically gathered datas of power cars key nodes, the device would analyzed and gave a judgment, thus realized the power cars fault detection online and offered technically support to the users. The hardware part of the device contains data acquisition circuit, analogical to digital conversion circuit and so on; the software part contains the main control program, interrupt service routine program. By means of connection and examination with the power cars, we had verified the practicality and reliability of the device.

Research and design of monitoring network cold-chain transport based on RFID

Abstract:In allusion to the shortages of the cold-chain transportation monitoring network, a RFID-based monitoring network is designed to monitor the dynamic parameters of vehicle terminals in this paper. The system mainly consists of vehicle terminal and monitoring center. Vehicle terminal is composed of STM32F103RBT6 central controller, GPS positioning module U-blox NEO, GPRS wireless communication module SIM900, RFID electronic tags and readers, and other peripheral circuit. The system can achieve functions of data collection, analysis, pretreatment, alarm and monitoring. Monitoring Center can wirelessly receive, parse and online display temperature and humidity, and location data. The experimental results show that the system has a high reliability characteristic and low-cost hardware. It efficiently accomplishes real-time monitor of temperature, humidity data and vehicle positioning information, so it is suitable for use in cold-chain logistics industry.

Control strategy of temperature compensation of intelligent AC contactors

Abstract:The dynamic response of the ac contactors can be seriously affected by the high temperature caused by the frequently switching and the environmental temperature. A control strategy is proposed to compensate the influence due to the temperature rising. The strategy is implemented with PWM principles. The real-time input voltages and temperature values are obtained by the control unit as the feedback signals. A lookup table is established by measuring the relationship between the control voltage, temperature and the duty cycles of the PWMs. The optimal duty cycles and the strong excitation time at different temperature are determined from the lookup table when feedback signals are obtained. Experimental results show that the closing process of the contactors can be optimized at different temperatures. The influences of the temperature rising can be compensated by using the control strategy.

Design and implementation of coal mine gas auto-sampling device

Abstract:Aiming at the gas concentration measurement of the coal mine methane, a kind of gas automatic sampling device is designed based on the liquid level sensor. The device is composed of liquid level sensor, signal conditioning circuit, single chip microcomputer control system, matrix keyboard module and display module. The experiment result shows that the device has high accuracy and good controllability.

Gas monitoring and alarm system based on short-range wireless/wired communication technology

Abstract:According to the gas monitoring requirement of combustible gas leak-prone area, a gas monitoring and alarm system based on short-range wireless/wired communications was proposed. In this system, we designed the wireless/wired gas monitoring and alarm terminal using generic combustible gas sensor, temperature sensor, 8-bit microcontroller and 433 MHz RF-Transceiver chip as the core devices. Furthermore, PC monitoring software was designed for practical application. The gas monitoring and alarm system can monitor real-time gas concentration and temperature remotely. It has the function of dynamic display, historical data query and alarm.

Design of the electrostatic protection circuit for EEG detection preamplifier

Abstract:Using CMOS instrumentation amplifier as the preamplifier of EEG detection is often technical solutions. However, CMOS device is very sensitive to the static electricity. When the COMS component is used as preamplifier,the enormous energy electron stream from human body static electricity will breakdown COMS tube insulated gate and stay there, making the amplifier does not work. Commonly, the capacitor can be used to form an electrostatic protection circuit, But this will reduce the CMRR,for it is very difficult to adjust the balance of two capacitors in wide range.To solve this problem, We have designed an active tank circuit that can fine adjust the size of the equivalent capacitance. Under the premise does not affect CMRR and improve the anti-static electricity ability of the amplifier, and enhance the reliability of the system.

An ADS-B based clustering algorithm in aviation Ad-Hoc networks

Abstract:An effective architecture is the key technology of routing and resource managing in large Ad-Hoc networks. In the aviation network, the quality of communication between aircrafts declines with the increasing number of aircrafts. To deal with this problem, an ADS-B message based novel clustering algorithm is presented for aviation Ad-Hoc networks. The proposed algorithm uses the mobility and location of aircraft, provided by ADS-B messages and node degree for cluster formation and maintenance. Some simulations are performed and the results indicate that the proposed algorithm can lower the number of clusters and the rate of switching nodes, and it can effectively improve the cluster stability and efficiency of aeronautical communications.

Research of AODV routing protocol based on route prediction

Abstract:In mobile ad hoc networks (MANET), due to the changing topology and limited bandwidth, link break frequently occurs in mobile ad hoc networks. In traditional AODV, the source node broadcasts RREQ message to find a new route to the destination when the link break occurs. Control overhead and long packet delay are high. In this paper we propose an improved routing repair algorithm(RP-AODV). The intermediate node, which detects the link break, to repair the break route. Once the intermediate node cannot repair the route in time, the backward pre-hop node tends to find a new route instead. The simulation is done through network Simulator-2, Results show that RP-AODV performs better in terms of routing overhead, end to end delay than classic AODV. the control overhead ratio is decreased by 40% , and the end to end delay is decreased by 25%. RP-AODV is quite suitable for such a dynamic network.

A timing error estimation method of APSK signals based on digital square algorithm

Abstract:APSK signals are seriously affected by the transceiver system when APSK is applied to satellite communications, and the synchronization algorithm is complex. The model of APSK signals is introduced, and a digital square algorithm is adopted to estimate the timing error. Simulation results show that this method performs well on estimating the timing error and it is uninfluenced by the carrier frequency offset, and the relation between algorithm performance and data length is obtained by simulatios.

Research of an improved DSR routing protocol of self-organization network

Abstract:This paper proposed an improved DSR routing protocol based on cache optimization, it improved the route shortening mechanism of DSR, and simulated the improved protocol with the original DSR protocol on the NS2 platform. The simulation result proved that the improved DSR is superior to the original DSR protocol on network throughput, end-to-end delay, packet loss rate.

Abstract:In LTE(Long Term Evolution) system, schedule is an important technology for basic station allocating resources to users. LTE system puts forward a new schedule method: semi-persistent scheduling(SPS) for services such as VoIP(Voice on Internet Protocol), mediastream and so on. Uplink resource is very precious in resources scheduling. Considering the problem of resource collision in uplink semi-persistent scheduling HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) process, this paper makes a thorough research on semi-persist scheduling interval and semi-persistent scheduling initial place, gets the best uplink period and designs the method that delaying the transmission of collision process. The result shows that the method reduces the problem of resource collision, improves resource utilization rate and makes an improvement on system stability.

Multi-packet reception based OPNCC in wireless networks

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a multi-packet reception based opportunistic physical network-coded cooperation(MPR-OPNCC) scheme suitable for multiple unicast transmissions in a single-cell or inter-cell wireless network. MPR-OPNCC adopts physical network-coding (PNC) and multi-packet reception(MPR) technology, which enable multiple source nodes to transmit at the same time slot and the destination nodes to detect their wanted data from the interfered signal. Meanwhile, MPR-OPNCC is also an opportunistic communication scheme. With the limited feedback from the destinations; the relay node can decide whether to do cooperation or not. The analytical and numerical results show that, compared with opportunistic network-coded cooperation(ONCC),MPR-OPNCC provides a similar system outage probability while doubling spectral efficiency.

A PSO-based design for ultra wideband receiver

Abstract:The design of ultra wideband(UWB) receiver is usually a tedious and experienced based work for its high nonlinearity. A novel PSO algorithm based systematic design method named PSO-UWB is proposed in this paper. Based on self-adaptive intelligent single particle optimizer(AdpISPO) algorithm, the relation function between the receiver output signal-to-noise ratio (SNRout) and the parameters of key components are used for optimization which target for the maximum SNRout. Simulation results in ADS show that the optimized results of the PSO-UWB meet the design requirements, and it is feasible.

Design and implementation of the food shelf-life monitoring system

Abstract:Due to the disadvantages of the traditional food shelf-life indicator and barcode which cannot record the real time in the food cold-chain logistics,paper designs the food shelf-life monitoring system. This system contains the front monitor device, monitor terminal and monitor center. Having been debugged preliminary,the design of the system was tested successfully. The front monitor device can detect the food quality information, monitor terminal is able to send these data to the monitor center. This system could achieve real-time monitoring to food.

TTCN-3 applies in protocol conformance testing of RRC

Abstract:A new testing method is designed by implementing Testing and Test Control Notation Version 3(TTCN-3) abstract test suit. Furthermore, the test suit is operated on the TTworkbench developed by German Testing tech. It also generates graphical presentation format(GFT) to check the protocol conformance of RRC functions. The scheme has been successfully applied in the project development of TTCN extended test set instrument in LTE system.

A multi-touch system based on spherical display

Vehicle smart player system based on the stereo minitheater

Abstract:A program of vehicle player system was proposed based on the Stereo Minitheater. The hardware real-time system of QNX was used to the terminal platform. Layer logic was used to build the system prototype, which reduced the coupling between modules. FFMPEG library was introduced to do a synchronized real-time decoding, to meet the fast focus of stereoscopic glasses. In order to achieve real-time rendering and display of image frames, a multi-stream stereoscopic rendering model was designed based on GLES 2.0, Experiments show that, this program not only improves the efficient implementation of the miniature 3D cinema function in the vehicle, but also effectively enhances the vehicle′s brand competitiveness.

Circuit research of dual standby for each other contact-less heart pacemaker power supply

Abstract:This paper proposes a solution of dual standby contact-less power system for pacemakers, including two mutual backup power supply circuits in vitro and an intra-individual power receiving circuit. The module control in vitro-powered device to standby for each other. When the vivo inductance coil was impacted by strong magnetic field, or body energy receiving device exceeds allowable temperature, circuit can automatically enter protection mode, and can maintain pacemaker work properly. Experiments show that the circuit is feasible.
