Research on parameters fault tolerant storage technologies based on Flash

Abstract:Some key variables should be preserved in embedded system after reset or power-down. It is a routine that those parameters are stored in processor chip memory. However, comparing with the off-chip Flash memory device, the in-chip Flash is limited in numbers of erasing. It will be a defect of short endurance. This paper studies how to extend the life of the Flash in microprocessor chip, and fault tolerant storage technologies for critical system variables. For a typical application for embedded systems, Flash management mechanism is researched by refining the existing wear-leveling algorithms to enhance the performance. The technology is verified on STM32 platforms.

Design and implementation of PPI for a radar simulation training system

Abstract:This paper researchs radar PPI display based on FPGA, introduces the design of top module and the composing of the PPI display, describes function IP cores,such as the principle and realization method of route target PPI display, the target′s parameter coordinate conversion, parameter information format conversion, design of UART and parameter information cycle update in detail. This paper also briefly introduces the simulation test of each function module and performance tests on the hardware platform.

Design of a portable multi-parameter wireless spirometer based on STM32

Abstract:This paper develops a portable multi-parameter wireless spirometer which has a friendly interface and even can network with hospital wirelessly. Self-designed laminar flow sensor, STM32 processor, LCD touch screen and GPRS are used to constitute the portable multi-parameter spirometer. The system can not only test normal lung function parameter, but also test the partial mean transit time(MTTp), display V-T curve Flow-T curve and MEFV curve. In addition, the acquired data can be sent to the PC by GPRS module for doctors healing to. The results of clinical trial show no significant differences between the device and the standard. The system has small volume, low cost, friendly interface and simple operation, and is suitable for families and small hospitals.

Design of immunofluorescence quantitative analyzer

Abstract:The design of immunofluorescence quantitative analyzer is for rapid and accurate quantitative analysis of content of each analyte(CRP, PCT, NT-proBNP, cTnI, etc.) in human blood and urine. High-power LED is adopted as light source, narrowband interference filter is used to filter exciting light and fluorescence, and photovoltaic conversion chip with built-in operational amplifier OPT101 is used to test fluorescence intensity. Scanning test for sample is achieved by using stepper motor to drive and make double-row ball wide slide block slide along single precise linear guideway with belt transmission. By comparing commercialized apparatuses, it is found that based on the miniaturization, rapidity and low cost, prototype is able to get accurate test results, meeting requirements of clinical application with high precision and good stability.

Implementation of radio frequency digital low level algorithm based on FPGA

Abstract:This Low Level Radio Frequency control system(LLRF) of accelerator works at 162.5 MHz,and consists of the RF front end and signal processing FPGA, that will be used on China-ADS injector II. The RF front end is used to complete down-conversion, up-conversion and level match of the RF signal. The digital control loop algorithm of cavity resonance frequency, amplitude and phase is implemented in FPGA. This paper will also describe the results of test performed under the room temperature cavity, which is developed by IMPCAS. The results of a 12-hr test show that the amplitude stability of the model cavity achieves to ±0.32%, and the phase stability is ±0.35°(peak to peak).

Design of Embedded CNC system of CNC turret punch press

Abstract:By analysing and researching the CNC system based on traditional industrial controller,aiming at the deficiencies,an Embedded CNC system based on CORTEXA8 microprocessor and embedded operating system(WinCE7) is proposed. The combination of embedded real-time operating system and high performance microprocessor makes real-time multi task processing ability of the CNC system greatly improved, which makes up for the real-time deficiency of the traditional NC system. According to the requirement of CNC machine tool for the communication efficiency, networked manufacturing and the development of industrial wireless communication,completing communication of machine tool by using the ZigBee wireless module. The debugging of the system shows that: the module of NC system is working properly, and can realize the wireless communication between the host computer and the controller.

Design and implementation of the LFMCW radar display system based on multicast

Abstract:A radar display system is designed and implemented based on the multicast transmission, the contents of the display control protocols and the related multicast addresses are also defined. A coordinate transformation method based on the three-dimensional optimal look-up table method is presented specifically to the polar coordinates in the image data packet. The issues of point missing and repeated points are effectively resolved. The extended advantages of the multicast transmission both in the realization of multi-screen display and the integrated bridge system are analyzed. The actual test of this system is ultimately accomplished on the hardware platform based on XC6SLX100T and DAVINCI DM3730, according to them the feasibility of this system is verified.

Intelligent license plate positioning identification system based on FPGA

Abstract:In intelligent transportation systems, dedicated computer vision system like license plate recognition takes an extremely important position. This paper presents an intelligent license plate location recognition system based on FPGA platform, builds SOPC system on the EP2C35 platform to complete the license plate image location, character recognition and other functions. The design uses FPGA as core, greatly reducing the system board area and effectively improving the speed and accuracy of the positioning system. Customizable NIOS II soft-core processor makes intelligent license plate recognition system with greater flexibility.

Non-idealities modeling, simulation and design of IF bandpass ΣΔ modulator

Abstract:The intermediate frequency(IF) bandpass sigma-delta(ΣΔ) modulator is the kernel of digital IF receiver. In this paper, the main non-idealities of a low-distortion fourth-order bandpass ΣΔ modulator based on the double-sampling technique are analyzed and modeled. Root locus is applied to research the stability of the modulator, and the circuit and layout of the modulator are presented in TSMC 0.18 μm process. The post-simulation results are also given, which indicate the veracity of the modeling and prove that the model can serve as a guide for the circuit design effectively.

The design of moving object detection system based on FPGA

Abstract:In view of the wide application of moving object detection technique in the field of national defense, a kind of moving object detection system is designed based on FPGA. Video image with a moving target is collected by using CCD camera, and the sampled video image is transmitted to SAA7113H for decoding. Then decoded digital signal is supplied to the FPGA to realize frame difference algorithm to achieve the purpose of moving target detection, the data is transmitted to a SAA7121H chip to encode, and the encoded video data displays in the display unit. The experimental results show that, the moving target detection system can real-time detect moving targets, and it has high stability and good real-time performance.

A new design of image compression system

Abstract:In order to break the traditional design pattern camera - capture card - the card as one of the simple acquisition and storage, and realize the new mode of double data acquisition of analog video and digital video as well as compression and high-speed transmission,an image compressing system is designed with FPGA as the control center, DSP as image data processing center, IP core generation and dual-SDRAM ping-pong cache collaborative work as skill, and PCI card as a means of high-speed transmission. Improved DSP logic code makes the image compression ratio be further improved. Through the actual test, image compression ratio of up to 26:1. The integrated use of FPGA+DSP+PCI card makes the speed of image data processing improved by at least 50%, image transfer rate is reached 38 MB/s.

Design and implementation of Beidou satellite signal Doppler frequency shift

Abstract:When the receiver receives the satellite signals, the relative motion between satellites and the receiver will cause the Doppler frequency shift in transmission. In order to realize the separation of the Doppler frequency shift, this paper designs a Beidou based carrier Doppler frequency shift circuit. It discusses the reason of the generation of carrier Doppler frequency shift and the ways of how to separated it. It also describes the detail design of this circuit. According to the procedure simulating and actual receiver testing, the design of the carrier Doppler frequency shift meets the requirement of the Beidou satellite signal receiver.

Abstract:The normal differential filter is poor in high frequency noise suppression, so a new multi-points grounding technique is put forward,with the symmetrical characteristic of differential circuits and the high frequency suppression of grounding filter. According to the result, which shown by vector network analyzer, the multi-points grounding differential filter possesses an advanced capacity for amplitude-frequency characteristic compared with normal differential filter.

A low power Gm-C filter with high linearity

Abstract:A transconductance-C(Gm-C) low pass filter and its tuned circuit for W-CDMA standard applications in zero-IF reciever are proposed. In the reciever, a 3rd -order Butterworth low pass filter is adopted, which has cut-off frequency of 2.2 MHz and stop-band attenuation of 34 dB at 10 MHz frequency. Using SMIC 0.18 μm CMOS process, the proposed filter achieves an IIP3 up to 21.13 dBm and consumes the power of 3.31 mW under the power supply voltage of 1.8 V. An automatic tuned circuit based on switched-capacitor circuit is used to precisely control the cut-off frequency of this filter, which can reduce the cut-off frequency deviation to less than 3%.

Research on the method of on-line measurement based on the DBD circuit parameters

Abstract:Accuracy and simpleness measurement of load electrical parameters of DBD type is always study focus. The traditional measuring method uses refactoring Lssajous to read the coordinate point and do manual calculation. It′s laborious, inefficient and needs complicated operation. Based on the measuring principle of Lssajous graphic ,the on-line measurement control system of load electrical parameters is designed.In this control sysem,the key data is collectted,the Lssajous is rebuided. The dielectric barrier capacitance,the air gap capacitance, the discharge voltage and the discharge power are obtained by the software accuracy. The control system has advantages of simple operation, safety, high efficiency, low error and the real-time online measurement. And the correctness of the online measuring system is verified by the experiment.

Design of a new high power factor power

Abstract:Nowadays, the process of power factor correction(PFC) in simulation control technology has some problems, such as low power factor, low efficiency, high total harmonic distortion(THD) and system instability. This paper proposes a new type of power source, which has high power factor and an improvement algorithm. The power of innovation adopts DSP digital double closed loop controlling method based on the existed analog circuits. The voltage loop transfer function and current loop transfer function of control system are obtained through the analysis of the improvement algorithm. The new type of staggered parallel boost PFC power source is designed according to the above analysis. The systemic test and contrast experiment results show that the power factor of new power is above 0.99, efficiency is above 0.95,and THD is less than 3%,which improves the stability of the system. Experiment and test results completely verify the correctness and feasibility of the new power source, it has a wide application prospect in the power supply.

The impact of voltage fluctuation and flicker on electrolytic capacitor after bridge rectifier

Abstract:Voltage fluctuation and flicker existing in electrified wire netting make ripple current of electrolytic capacitors increasing after bridge rectifier and result in loss increased and life reduced. In order to analyze the cause and mechanism of this phenomenon, this paper qualitatively analyzes the variation of electrolytic capacitor ripple current caused by voltage fluctuation and flicker through trigonometric model. And it is also derived about current RMS larger phenomenon. Finally, the test method of capacitor ripple current is described. Measurement experiment on a prototype using an oscilloscope which can make current waveform Fourier decomposition, is tested and analyzed in the paper,and obtaining experimental data supports theoretical analysis.

Lithium-ion battery pack best-priority balancing strategy study

Abstract:The spontaneous combustion and other safe hazards of lithium-ion battery pack are mainly caused by the imbalance of monomers in lithium-ion battery pack. In order to solve the imbalance problem among lithium-ion battery monomers that exists in the charging and discharging process, a new lithium-ion battery pack balancing strategy based on best-priority is proposed. This strategy analyzes the variation of the lithium battery cell voltage and capacity which are two key characteristics factors. By the application of best-priority method, the integration degree of these two key factors effect is determined for seeking balance optimal path to achieve the active equalization of the lithium-ion battery in different operating conditions. The lithium-ion battery pack real-time active equalization goal is achieved, providing security protection for the power supply of the lithium battery pack.

High temperature measuring system suppressing impacts of temperature drift of circuits

Abstract:This paper proposes a design of an under well measuring system for high temperature up to 155 ℃. In order to measure multi-channel signals, the pre-amplifiers employ a time-division scheme, calibration signal and sensor signals are sent to the amplifier separately through an analog multiplexer. The reference signal is sampled from transmitter circuit, so as to provide phase reference to both calibration and sensor signals. Amplitudes and phases are calculated in a digital phase sensitive detection algorithm. Due to the real-time calibration of analog channels, the measurement remains stable regardless the temperature drift of circuits in the channels. Experiment result shows that, this method can effectively suppress the impact of temperature drift.

High-speed image data storage and display based on FPGA

Abstract:This paper uses FPGA to control NAND Flash array to achieve high-speed pipelined storage. This design adoptes FPGA as main controller to write image data into the Flash storage arrays through first/second butter,and uses DMA technology to upload image-data to computer hard disk for further processing. SDRAM is utilized to refresh data in real time and FPGA is used to construct corresponding VGA signal to realize 100 MB/s image data real-time display.

Design of portable infrasound detector based on μC/OS-II

Abstract:Considering the broad application prospects and lack of relevant research of infrasound detection, a portable infrasound detector was designed using STM32F103 as the control center. Combined with the multi-task scheduling feature of ?滋C/OS-II OS and graphical user interface support of ucgui, it presented the realization of the detection and analysis of infrasound by FFT algorithm. The software was accomplished by C programming, and it was easy to transplant and expand. The whole system performs the characteristic of low cost, easy operation, high accuracy and stability.

Design of 4H-SiC wireless passive high temperature pressure sensor

Abstract:The main purpose of the development of high-temperature pressure sensor is to solve the pressure measurement problems in high-temperature harsh environments, SiC is an ideal material for manufacturing high temperature pressure sensor. Combined the technology of thin film and ceramic thick-film technology, a new design of 4H-SiC capacitive wireless passive high temperature pressure sensor is introduced in this paper. The Ansys finite element analysis software is utilized to simulate, the sensitivity of the capacitance chip is 2.65 MHz/bar at 600 ℃, which proves that the sensor has relatively high sensitivity under high temperature. The key process of preparation—SiC deep etch is verified, etching depth reaches 124 um, meets the requirements of sensor preparation.

Design of data recorder based on FPGA and DSPIC30F6014A

Abstract:In order to meet the demand for data of large capacity and high speed storage of the flight data recorder, this paper proposes a DSPIC30F6014A to control the USB interface chip CH378 to read and write U disk data, and add the FPGA to read and write a large capacity Flash data as high-speed data buffer in order to achieve the design scheme of the storage of high speed and large capacity data to U disk and does not rely on computer. This scheme can achieve the function of storing large capacity data, and can greatly improve the speed of reading and writing data of the U disk, which has the advantages of small size, low cost and easy to carry, etc, greatly easing the pressure on data storage and having a very broad application prospect.

Design of array type MEMS vector hydrophone data acquisition system

Abstract:The underwater information acquisition system is designed for the acquisition of the array type MEMS vector hydrophone′s signal and attitude information. The system outputs the coded information through the RS422 interface. A circuit of low-noise preamplifier is designed to process the analog signal. A sampling judgment jitters elimination method is applied to ensure the accuracy of time-uniform system signal and attitude signal. After the system integrated with sensor has been tested, results show that the system runs stably and acquires underwater information accurately.

Design of plane electric load based on the LabWindows/CVI

Abstract:In order to verify the function and performance of the aircraft power system,and whether auxiliary power unit power system canmeet the design requirements in the full load and overload condition or not,it is needed to design the electric load system to extract and expend the residual power in the course of flight test and model determination. The system is composed of the control subsystem,load subsystem and filling water drainage subsystem. The lower computer is based on PLC while the PC uses the LabWindows/CVI development platform with the control subsystem consisting of high-speed data acquisition card. It has the features such as high reliability, high collection accuracy, high-control response capability and so on. The experiment proves that this system is steady , trusty and efficient. It has obtained the good effect in the flight test.

An improved blind detection algorithm of chaos Hopfield neural network for wireless sensor networks

Abstract:In densely deployed wireless sensor networks, signals of adjacent sensors can be highly cross-correlated. An improved algorithm of chaos Hopfield neural network is proposed to blind detection inter-cluster signals of wireless sensor networks. In order to overcome premature convergence and slow convergence speed of Hopfield neutral network, the novel algorithm takes advantages of the stochastic and ergodic properties of chaotic sequence. The initial transmitting sequence is generated by chaotic disturbance and the chaos perturbation is introduced in a small range when the global optimal value is trapped in local minimum. Simulation results show that the algorithm needs shorter received signals and show high speed to blindly detect signals of sensor inter-cluster.

Design and implementation of K-Best detector in 2×4 MIMO-OFDM system

Abstract:This paper builds a 2×4 MIMO-OFDM system which is based on the V-BLAST structure, and determines the K value of K-Best algorithm in this system. Then the K-Best detector has been designed and accomplished by the Xilinx Virtex-5 chip. The resource consumption and the clock frequency of the detector is provided. Finally,the correctness of the detector is validated by the simulation of the performance.

An improved K-means clustering algorithm for demodulation of distorted QAM signals

Abstract:Wireless network nodes and mobile devices are always constrained by power, dimension and price in the short-range wireless communication system. Thus, it′s impossible for them to use some complex methods such as pre-distortion and compensation to restrain the nonlinear effects caused by power amplifier, which is one of the important reasons why the high order QAM could not be used in uplink. Based on the characteristics of QAM rectangular constellation, an improved K-means clustering algorithm is presented to be the demodulation algorithm of high order QAM. It has better demodulation performance and lower computational complexity.

Correntropy based method for AR model spectrum estimation in impulsive noise environments

Abstract:Fractional Lower Order Statistics(FLOS) based methods for α spectrum estimation are sensitive to the impulsive noise in big impulse noise environments, the selection of fractional lower order parameters affects estimation accuracy, and the performances of these methods are with different degrees of decline. This paper proposes the correntropy based method for AR model α spectrum estimation according to the correntropy function of signal insensitive to the non-Gaussian noise. Simulation results show that the new method is without default value of fractional lower order and very robust, and its frequency resolution has great advantages as compared with other methods under the same Mixed Signal to Noise Ratio(MSNR).

Optimal design of 16APSK constellation for simplified demapping algorithm

Abstract:This paper investigates the optimal design of Amplitude Phase Shift Keying(APSK) constellation for a new simplified demapping algorithm. According to the new simplified demapping algorithm, a new object function for optimization is presented and an optimal radius ratio and initial phase under the condition of Saleh nonlinear channel model are found. Simulation shows that the new simplified demapping algorithm decreases the demapping complexity with 1 dB loss of SNR when BER is about 10-4.

Power allocation simulation in multi-relay cooperative communication system based on quantum genetic algorithm

Abstract:Power optimization scheme for multi-relay cooperative communication system under the constraint of total power is considered. Quantum genetic algorithm is applied in power allocation to maximize system capacity, thereby,power allocation scheme based on quantum genetic algorithm is proposed, and the effect of the system bit error rate with power allocation scheme is dicussed. Compared with equal power allocation(EPA) and power allocation scheme based on genetic algorithm,simulation and numerical results demonstrate that the system based on quantum genetic algorithm achieves better performance with low bit error rate.

The physical layer security transmission algorithms in multi-beam satellite communication system

Abstract:To improve the security of satellite communication system, this paper applies the physical layer security technique to the multi-beam satellite communication system. First, this paper establishes the multi-beam satellite physical layer security communication system model. Then, aimed at the system maximal secrecy sum rate, the zero-forcing(ZF) and enhanced signal-to-leakage-and-noise ratio(E-SLNR)beamforming algorithms are introduced. The simulation results demonstrate that the E-SLNR algorithm jointly considers the inter-beam interference and the leakage at the eavesdropper. Consequently, the E-SLNR algorithm isn′t limited by the number of antennas, and can obtain the better secrecy performance compared with the ZF algorithm.

An improved SVM insect image retrieval algorithm and simulation

Abstract:The variability of species results in various populations. How to demand images which match user intent fast and accurately from the mass of insects image database becomes a thorny issue. Content-based image retrieval is based on the image itself,and extracts the image features and semantic features of the bottom of society, which improves the accuracy of the retrieval results. By comprehensive features extraction of image color and texture, this paper uses the SVM training model to forecast the image sample close to the training sample, and realizes the simulation of image retrieval based on SVM. On this basis, the color and texture feature combing with image block features, and drawing lessons from the Bag of Words model, this paper makes up the image spatial distribution information, and describes the image content more fully. Experiments show that the comprehensive feature extraction improves the retrieval accuracy.

Design and implementation of quality and process control system for the space launch site

Abstract:In view of some of the deficiencies in the implementation of test tasks for the space launch site, such as the technical status check before the test, the operation quality control of key links and key positions, the comprehensive judgment of test results,this paper puts forward, designs and realizes the quality and process control system for test tasks of launch site. It can realize quality control of the whole system and careful management of the whole process for the test tasks of launch site, effectively improve the information level of quality control and the efficiency of test-launch work, and also can reduce the probability of low level quality problem of the space launch site.

Method of gesture recognition based on contour PCA

Abstract:This paper gives an improved gesture recognition algorithm. First, the gesture images are processed through a combination of background subtraction method with Krisch and color segmentation to get the hand area. Then the non-target region such as arm which depending on the direction of the gesture is removed. Finally, the images are processed through contour detection and the dimension is reduced by PCA, the spatial distance with the sample after the projection is calculated for classification. The method can detect hand region and identify the meaning of gestures quickly and accurately, and can be used in real-time recognition.

A method for energy optimization of networks-on-chip based on program′s memory access behavior

Abstract:Networks-on-chip(NoC), as the development trends for multiprocessors-on-chip(CMP) interconnection, its energy optimization becomes increasingly important. Dynamic voltage and frequency scaling(DVFS) as an effective run-time energy management method, has been used in the energy optimization of NoC widely. At present the major local control methods have high SW/HW costs, this paper presents a global energy optimization method through monitoring the program′s critical memory access information to dynamically adjust the voltage and frequency of the NoC. Simulation results show that this method can reduce the energy consumption by 45%, while causing the program′s performance loss below 5%.

Design and implementation of the echo signals simulation system of weather radar

Abstract:The echo simulation system of weather radar successfully simulates the echo signal which has the real weather targets feature. This echo signal can be used in radar performance measuring under the laboratory conditions. Firstly, the paper introduces the principle of echo signal simulation of weather radar, and gives the design flow chart. Secondly, it presents design ideas of echo simulator hardware platform and software implementation. Finally, the echo simulation images are generated according to real weather echo features information. Besides, the comparison and analysis have processed between before and after echo simulation images.

Threshold method of C-V model based on total Bregman divergence

Abstract:The convergence rate of the traditional C-V model is slow, and it is sensitive to noise. The C-V model based on total Bregman divergence(TBD) is proposed and its corresponding fast threshold segmentation algorithm is implemented. Parametric TBD is built for unifying Bregman divergence and TBD,and utilized to rebuild the fitting iterms of C-V model. Meanwhile, the numerical algorithm relating to grayscale histogram is realized under the variational level set method. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm illustrates excellent performance to natural images. It improves the convergent speed and has higher robustness and anti-noise features.
