Design of a portable ECG detecting instrument based on STM32

Abstract:A portable ECG detecting instrument based on STM32 was designed. Through the single lead, the instrument could acquire ECG signal from the body surface. After amplification, digital filtering and level elevation by preprocessing circuit, the ECG signal was sent to the STM32 for analog-digital conversion and digital processing. The heart rate, ECG waveform and analysis results were displayed in real-time on the LCD screen of the instrument. Experiment results showed that this system could effectively extract the feature points of ECG signal, accurately measure heart rate, analyze four kinds of common arrhythmia, and measure time-domain parameters of HRV.

Design of wireless Ad-hoc networking voice communication terminal

Abstract:A hand-held voice communication terminal which is of low power consumption, low cost, flexibility and efficiency in use is designed. Aming at the problem,ZigBee Ad-hoc networking technology is adopted to achieve the purpose of building up communication network flexibly, and extending the communication distance by multihop. Moreover, considering the problem that voice can not be well transferred due to ZigBee′s low transmission speed, IMA-ADPCM algorithm is utilized to compress voice, which may adapt to ZigBee′s low transmission speed under the premise of ensuring high-quality voice communication. Experiments prove that the power consumption of this voice communication terminal can be as low as 0.63 W, the underground point-to-point communication distance can reach 28.76 m, and that the average bit error rate of the voice signal transmission is only 1.95%.

Dynamic frequency scaling solution of GPU based on Android system

Abstract:A dynamic frequency scaling solution of GPU based on Android system was proposed in order to resolve the high power problem of GPU in mobile terminals. A GPU frequency-performance model, including the methods of working frequency selecting and relative performance measuring, was introduced according to the GPU performance requirement of various applications. In the DVFS algorithm, the prediction load was calculated by weighted previous loads and substituted into the GPU frequency-performance model to predict the frequency in next period. The experimental results show that the changing of GPU load can be tracked rapidly in typical cases,and the accuracy of GPU frequency prediction is more than 95%.

Realization of USB communication on Android-powered device based on AOA protocol

Abstract:AOA protocol, which is launched by Google, is a protocol used for communication between Android-powered devices and peripheral equipments via USB. The protocol expands the function of USB on Android-powered devices and provides a condition for the data acquisition and equipment control system based on Android-powered devices. In this paper, two kinds of Android USB communication model are introduced firstly. And an example about how to realize Android mobile phone controlling stepping motor based on AOA protocol in USB accessory mode is presented.

Abstract:Technology of transmission and networking on field seismic data is an important part of seismic network,which concerns real-time and effectivity of seismic data.Design of connecting dispersed data acquisition nodes via CAN bus is detailed. A local seismic management system is constructed based on ARM microprocessor, multitask operating system Linux as well as application framework Qt,that simplifies management tasks of mobile station and makes it possible to construct larger-scale mobile station.

The FPGA design of cell search timing synchronization in TD-LTE system

Abstract:Compared with the traditional DSP serial mode, an efficient parallel design approach to cell search timing synchronization based on FPGA is presented. RF data from interface is stored in FPGA module. Multi-channel high speed multipliers are used for sequence correlation detection and dynamic threshold configuration. So continuous dataflow of receiving and processing is realized. In this way, the detection time of the primary synchronization signal is shorten and decoding complexity is reduced. Then simulation, synthesis and verification of board on Virtex-6 are completed. Results show that the processing speed and the data precision of the design scheme meet the test requirements of LTE system. The development has been applied to the terminal test instrument.

Design and realization of a keyboard module based on Android system

Abstract:An extern keyboard module of Android system is designed using TCA9535. The module is designed using matrix keyboard and is connected with the main control chip through the I2C bus. The main control chip will use the interrupt generated by pressing any key to scan the keyboard and report the key value to system. The driver development of keyboard in Android system and the experience of dealing with key value are supplied. The results of experiment show that this design can modify the requirement of applications. The design of keyboard module based on bus mode maximizes the use of the main control chip’s resources and it has good portability and scalability. It also has a certain reference value for other applications.

Study of weak signal detection device based on Launchpad

Abstract:For the weak signals submerged in the background noise, the fluctuation of the signal itself and the influence of the background and the amplifier noise cause that measurement sensitivity is limited. This detection device designed based on TI(Texas Instruments) of small MSP430 development board Launchpad for processing and control core, is a weak signal detection device. Through signal processing,such as the signal amplification circuit, multiplier circuit, filter circuit and phase locked circuit and so on, this device realizes within strong background noise(noise RMS voltage is fixed to 1 V±0.1 V) the measurement of weak sinusoidal signal, extractes and its amplitude detection. Then through the LCD liquid crystal,it can display the size of amplitude. The actual application shows that this system has the characteristics of flexible operation and accurate test, that has reached the design requirements.

Inherent delay measurement of infrared range finders simulating test circuit

Abstract:A measurement circuit introduced an MCU C8051F320 and a high-precision time-digits converting chip TDC-GP21 is represented. The low level input pulse and output pulse through the data converting circuit can trigger the measurement channel of TDC-GP21 by lifting up respectively via two voltage comparators in the MCU, and then the inherent delay can be measured by TDC-GP21.

Design and implementation of video image superimposed fusion system based on FPGA

Abstract:In view of two-channel video image superimposed fusion,an flexible and high real time hardware system based on FPGA is designed and implemented.The system can adjust proportion of size and location of the video image superimposed fusion arbitrarily based on the actual need.With the technique of bilinear interpolation scaling algorithm,DDR2 storage, superimposed fusion algorithm and so on, the scheme is implemented on FPGA hardware platform after simulated and validated.The result indicates that the system can achieve the desired effect,and the effect of superimposed fusion picture is good and can meet the needs of engineering applications.

High-speed serial transmission for data based on TLK2711

Abstract:A high-speed data serial transmission scheme of multi-channel TLK2711 is presenting, operation principle and design idea are introduced in detail, achieving a single-channel effective data rate which is up to 1.55 Gb/s combining FPGA and DDR3.On this basis, a TLK2711 data serial transmission system with six channels is designed,whose effective data rate is up to 9.67 Gb/s. The experimental results indicate that the system works stable with high efficiency and no error code, which can meet the requirements of high-speed in the transmission of multi-channel TLK2711.

A data transfer system based on W5100

Abstract:A data transfer system is introducesd in this paper,that is based on TCP/IP protocols and using Ethernet controller W5100 and AT91SAM7SE which combines an ARM core. This paper describes the system′s hardware design, interface timing as well as the software flow. In order to achieve high speed transmission, the interface between W5100 and AT91SAM7SE is direct bus interface mode, and the software operation is based on direct bus interface mode mixed with indirect bus interface mode.

Design of a wide-input band-gap voltage reference with curvature compensation

Abstract:Based on the traditional first-order band-gap reference circuit, the high-order curvature compensation is achieved in this paper by adding series resistors and a NPN-diode, paralleled with a resistor. The circuit not only employs few devices, but also improves the accuracy of the band-gap voltage reference significantly. In addition, the input voltage ranges from 10 V to 25 V,that benefits the band-gap voltage reference applied in wider areas. Based on the HHNEC_BCD350 technology and the simulation results of H-spice software, the results show that the temperature coefficient of band-gap voltage reference is 0.501 ppm/℃ from 0 ℃ to 80 ℃,and the output voltage swing is 31.49 mV when the input voltage is from 10 V to 25 V.

A Retinex algorithm for image enhancement based on edge detection

Abstract:In order to solve the problems of detail reduction and color distortion when eliminating the effect of illumination conditions, an edge-preserved Retinex algorithm for color image enhancement is proposed. According to the characteristics of human visual system, luminance is extracted from the original image. Halo effect at strong edge is avoided by estimating the background luminance with different filters at the edge and the smooth region after edge detection. Local contrast is increased by adjusting the proportion of background luminance, and global contrast is adjusted according to the histogram of reflection image. Hue of the images before and after enhancement is preserved because of the color recovery based on equivalence of direct proportion transformation in R, G, B and I channel. Experiment results show that contrast increases by 19.34% and entropy increases by 13.18% after enhancement.

Abstract:The impedance of power distribution work need low enough over a specified band. Two bypass capacitors with different values may create resonance peak, unless the capacitor parameters are selected properly. The mathematical model of capacitor parameters with resonance peak’s frequence and impedance is derivated and verified from the equivalent circuit model of parallel capacitors in this paper. This mathematical model is applied in the design method of target impedance-based by example, which proves the implementation of this model is intutive and effective.

Study on power frequency sine flat-topped wave power supply

Abstract:Discharge characteristic test of spark gap for series compensation needs a power frequency high voltage test power supply which can generate power frequency sine flat-topped wave. For this requirement,a programmable waveform generator and a suitable power amplifier are designed. The device is based on MCU control, and uses D/A converter to produce high-precision, reliable power frequency sine flat-topped wave signal, and use power amplifier to amplify the signal in order to obtain a certain order of higher voltage and power for gap discharge testing. This article describes the working principle of the power frequency sine flat-topped wave generator, and through the introduction of the characteristics of PA52 power amplifying chip, the power amplifier's design is analyzed. Experimental results show that the maximum output voltage amplitude is 80 V, the frequency stability is 0.08%, the voltage amplitude stability is 0.5%, the load regulation is 0.375%, and this power supply can meet the requirements of spark gap self-discharge test waveform.

Islanding detection method based on improved voltage/frequency positive feedback

Abstract:Islanding detection is an important issue for the distributed generation system. Based on the voltage phase jump、the voltage-active power positive feedback and the reactive power disturbance and combining with their advantages, the paper puts forward an islanding detection method based on improved voltage/frequency positive feedback. This method can overcome the shortcoming that the phase jump detection method fails to work under resistive load and the balance of the distributed generation system output and the load power, which has no detection dead zone and has little influence on power quality. The correctness of the method is verified by the Matlab simulation.

Abstract:Hysteresis current control method play an important role in power electronics and power transmission. Research in detail on hysteresis current control taking delay link into account, which was always ignored in traditional analysis, was proposed in this paper. The physical process of hysteresis current control and relationship along key parameters such as hysteresis band, inductance and switching frequency were revealed. Experiment has been carried out to prove the analysis.

Abstract:Some disadvantages are found in traditional elevator telephone caller system, such as wiring complex,maintenance inconvenience and so on. A kind of low-power elevator caller system implemented with MSP430 as main control chip, nRF24L01 as main control chip in wireless communication module,input module and also alerting module is designed.The system contains some sending ends and a receiving end.Through the experiment, the system is stability, low-power, strong interference resistance and so on,which is suitable for all kinds of elevators.

Abstract:Firstly, this paper analyzes the more commonly used characteristics of removing the Cloud, and selected improved homomorphism filtering algorithm to Cloud Processing. Analyze the two research methods, and compare the two methods of both qualitative analysis and qualitative evaluation. The results show that ZY-3 fusion image Cloud Processing based improved homomorphism filtering method has smaller image distortion, and at the same time keeps the spatial texture details which is a better way that is suitable for ZY-3 cloud processing.

Research of measuring technology for PM2.5 based on the β-Ray absorption method

Abstract:According to the air particle being into the lungs , which can harm the human body seriously and whose size are less than or equal to 2.5 μm, the monitoring instrument , which can be used for real-time monitoring the concentration value of PM2.5, is designed based on β-Ray absorption method . Using the principle of the direct proportional relationship with the amount of absorbed β-Ray and the quality of the dust particle, through measuring β-Ray and the change of the intensity between the clean filtering paper and the contained dust filtering paper, the concentration value of PM2.5 is measured. By contrast and calibration with the standard filter weighing method, the accuracy of the measuring instruments is verified.

Multi-model fusion based target contour extraction in SAR imagery

Abstract:This paper proposes a method of target contour extraction based on active contour model and multi-model fusion. On the basis of Balloon model, an improved active contour model, we incorporate G0 statistical distribution, regional statistics based active contour model, and multi-edge detection operator model, to obtain a new target contour extraction method. The proposed method is applied to the real SAR image from MSTAR program, and the results show that the target contour is accurately extracted. So, the proposed method may be used in SAR image interpretation for the task of extracting target contours to provide excellent input information for the subsequent tasks in SAR image interpretation like automatic identification and feature-level image fusion, etc.

The reliability test data acquisition system design of SLD light source

Abstract:Aming at the problem of the optical power signal acquisition method for accelerated life degradation test platform,taking advantage of the excellent features of the graphical programming language LabVIEW detailed analysis of the design ideas and the main function of the the serial debugger software based on LabVIEW, optical power collection instrument data communication on the PC side is implemented. The acquisition of the optical power meter use in LabVIEW VISA-Serial controls on the PC serial communication management, based on the transfer of technical information between the computer RS-232 serial port and intelligent instrument LabVIEW optical power collection instrument. Proven stable system with high reliability, easy operation and good scalability.

Lithium battery constant current discharge system based on fuzzy control

Abstract:In view of nonlinear, strong inertia and heavy delay questions of lithium battery constant current discharge system, a control system based on fuzzy was designed. System based on the single chip computer Mega128 as the master control chip, using PWM pulse width modulation technology to control lithium battery discharge current. The experimental results show that the system can quickly response current change, operation is stable and reliable. It can be widely used in all kinds of lithium battery production and capacity testing occasions.

Research on a kind of AMC scheme in LTE system

Abstract:When the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) of channel changes fast which leads to high BLER, the capability of the existing LTE-AMC declines sevely, which can not satisfy the performance and throughput of the systerm. Considering to the case,this paper proposes a kind of AMC scheme with high reliability, which makes the system more adapitive to the case that the SNR changes fast by selecting the smallest CQI with the same resource block.According to the theory and the analysis of simulation, this scheme has greatly improved the throughput of the system.

The automatic identification of a digital signal based on cyclic spectrum

Abstract:The article describes the spectrum of the digital signal modulation recognition method and takes advantage of some of the modulation signal when some modulation signal have the same power spectral density correlation function of the spectrum, but there is a significant difference in spectral correlation function. Low signal-to-noise ratio of the modulated signal can be identified by spectral correlation function. The article has computer simulation of Gaussian noise automatic identification of digital communication signals by the extraction of some of the parameters of the cyclic spectrum. The experimental simulation results show that signal average recognition rates can reach 95% or more, and good practial prospects when the signal-to-noise ratio is not less than 15 dB.

An UDP-based congestion control scheme

Abstract:The quality of service is confronted with two challenges. One is how to achieve the fairness of TCP and UDP, and the other is how to solve the congestion control in order to improve the transmission reliability. This paper presents a solution FFUDP(Friend and Fair UDP) to address the two problems. FFUPD determines the network congestion state based on the packet loss rate. If the network congestion is detected, then the receiver notifies the sender of adjusting the transmission rate to effectively address the fairness and UDP congestion control. The simulation results show that FFUDP substantial increases the throughput and reduces the packet loss rate, and moreover the fairness of FFUDP and TCP is achieved.

Abstract:Emergency information and service information are setted with different priorities in VANETs, the node receives the emergency information will inhibit the transmission of service information, results in the emergency information and service information sending unfair. In order to solve this problem, a broadcast protocol based on the length of the buffer queue (BQLP) is presented, the longer queue length, the higher the priority of the node sending information, thus avoiding packet loss due to buffer queue too long, and also to reduce the packet loss caused due to the expiration of the packet lifetime. Simulation results show that the BQLP protocol not only improves the rate of receiving data packets and receiving rate, but also reduces the packet transmission delay.

Design of chipless radio frequency identification tag with slotted ring structure

Abstract:A novel slotted ring chipless radio frequency identification tag is designed and analysed. This tag has a high degree of symmetry, needn’t to consider the polarization of the incident wave. The pole is extracted from the scattering of time-domain signal. According to the corresponding relationship between the pole and tag, the domain pole provided the basic data that is embedded in tag structure. Through simulation analysis, the tag is identified by the domain pole. Tag can encodes up to 4 bit , it becomes a new chipless RFID tag.

An improved timing synchronization algorithm of cell search in TD-LTE system

Abstract:Research on cell search timing synchronization algorithm in TD-LTE system,according to the Zadoff-Chu sequence character,a timing synchronization algorithm based on SSS is proposed in this paper. Both the theory analysis and simulation results show that the algorithm′s performance is perfect and complexity is low. The SSS timing synchronization position is accurate when frequency offset is existed, the algorithm can improve the reliance in comparison with the normal methods.

Abstract:Spectrum allocation is one of the key technologies of cognitive radio. The authorized channel available probability is in relation to the arrival rate of primary users and second users' portfolio, while the actual benefit needs to account for the channel fading factor. A CSGC spectrum allocation algorithm based on channel performance is presented. This algorithm can maximize the total profit through distributing the channels of higher relative utilization and lighter fading. The simulation results show that the algorithm is effective.

Firstly, this article introduced the design framework of the system about hardware design; followed by the introduction of the system’s hardware and software design processes、the system software design diagram、the FPGA design logical module as well as the timing; finally, given the experimental results and verified the feasibility of the system.

Edge detection and morphology optimization of real-time image based on FPGA

Abstract:The traditional sobel operator is only used for static image edge detection, in this paper, we detected the real-time image edge and then we used the morphological dilation and morphological erosion to make the real-time image edge better, after that, we implemented this optimized real-time image edge detection by morphology on FPGA. The results showed that, the algorithm in this paper can improve the edge detection effectively. Compared to Sobel operator, the real-time image edge was clearer and the background noise was filtered as well by using the algorithm in this paper.

CUDA-accelerated DNA-protein matching and its optimization

Abstract:A method was proposed to accelerate DNA-protein matching, using Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA). Firstly, we introduced an annealing-algorithm-based DNA-protein matching method and the characteristics of CUDA. Then we analyzed the matching method from the computational perspective. Afterwards, we parallelized the matching method using CUDA. Finally, the method is optimized according to the thread scheduling policy of CUDA. Experiments show that up to 15 times speedup can be achieved, in contrast to the CPU-only method.

Improved level-set segmentation algorithm on image sequences of stem cells

Abstract:A separating algorithm for neuron stem cell images based on level-set segmentation algorithm combined with improved OTSU criterion is presented. Firstly, prove level-set, edge stopping function is constructed based on local entropy and gray-scale transformation which can do a good work for overcoming the drawbacks. Secondly, analyze the shortcoming of the OTSU and propose a new threshold function according to the suggestion that make the variance within clusters as a factor of computing the best threshold. Experiments demonstrate that this algorithm has proved high-speed and has a good effect of cell segmention compared to traditional methods.
