Design of miniature multi-parameter health monitor based on STM32

Abstract:The design and implementation of a miniature multi-parameter health monitor based on STM32F103RE are discussed in this article. The paper introduces an integrated solution in hardware and optimizes algorithms according to the features of physiological signal which improve the convenience and accuracy of device application. The system realizes the collection, processing, displaying and storage of ECG, heart rate and oxygen saturation. Particularly, the monitor is able to exchange data with Android or iOS smart device through Bluetooth and sends out alarm signal if abnormal physiological parameter or fall is detected.

Design of logistics positioning and tracing terminal based on multi mode

Abstract:In this paper,a multi-mode of logistics positioning and tracing terminal is designed based on BD positioning. The terminal positions and traces logistics is based on BD2 satellite positioning system,and the invocations of logistics are collected through RFID which is based on combination of ARM11 processor and multiple communication modules in logistics fields. The software platform is based on embedded Linux system. The system collects and displays the positioning information of linguistics,and sends the collected data to central control station by multi-mode of information transmission. The experiments show that the terminal meets the application requirement in logistics fields.

Design of USB host device in embedded VxWorks based on PCI bus

Abstract:This paper analyses the USB host stack structure. A PCI bus-based USB host device is designed using PowerPC8270 CPU. The design simplifies interaction between host CPU and USB controller, implements the USB host driver in embedded VxWorks operating system. Finally, the USB host function and the speed of read/write are tested on USB storage device. The results slow that this design can support reading and writing USB storage peripheral device steadily.

Design of CAN-Ethernet gateway based on underground broadcasting system

Abstract:With the rapid development of information technology,people demand more and more on the coal mine safety. It is an urgent thing to provide information for the mine workers timely to escape and minimize the loss of property when a danger happens. Based on mine broadcasting system, a new design is proposed in this paper. The main hardware consists of NXP′s LPC2378 controller and peripheral CAN transceiver and Ethernet transceiver in order to make an interconnection of fieldbus and industrial Ethernet. The new design makes full use of fieldbus and industrial Ethernet respectively,and it is very convenient for mangers to guide the workers directly. It has great practical significance for raising the safety of the coal production.

A design for OMAPL138 dual-core system boot based on NOR Flash

Abstract:For the problem of the complexity of OMAPL138 boot based on AIS and serial,a new mothed based on NOR Flash to achieve OMAPL138 dual-core system boot is introduced. In this scenario,the process of bootloader of OMAPL138 dual-core system is analyzed. Firstly,the ARM system initialization problems is solved. Then OMAPL138 system hardware initialization and copy of the ARM and DSP applications code are completed based on ARM system. Finally,DSP system is waked up by ARM system,and bootloader jumps to the ARM application at the last of bootloader,and OMAPL138 dual-core system boot is implemented finally. Experimental results show that the program can achieve OMAPL138 dual-core system boot, and it is more simple and easy to implement compared to traditional AIS and serial start-up mode.

Non-contact multi-spectral hand imaging system display and data interface

Abstract:An implementation plan of network for embedded system and real-time display for palm image is designed and proposed based on TMS320DM642.The hardware implementation plan for modules and configurations for software are introduced. Image data is output through video interface after processing in DM642.And then it is transformed into NTSC by coder chips. At last, it is real-timely displayed on the screen. Image data is transferred to the physical layer by using EMAC of DM642.In this way, the function of the physical layer is realized. High speed network data transmission is done between DSP and PC by the RJ-45 interface.

Abstract:EEG is an external representation of human brain variety activities. The analysis and processing of EEG are very important for clinical diagnosis and the treatment of some diseases. This paper proposes a design of portable EEG collecter based on brain-computer interface technology,which will collect EEG and transmit signals to a computer throuth Bluetooth uplink channel. The five kinds of brainwave signals will be divided by signal processing,and then be displayed through the display software accurately.The design provides a basis for brain-computer interface technology transform to practical application.

Design of a thread manager in a polymorphic parallel processor

Abstract:This paper proposes a hardware thread manager for the polymorphic parallel processor. The thread manager supports the MIMD mode with 8 threads and SIMD mode with multiple threads using the SC controllers in an unified approach to manage two operating modes to achieve a thread-level parallelism. Thread manager can monitor each thread′s work, neighboring communication register and router status. It can stop, switch and start threads. Thread manager can also record the working status of each thread, while avoiding the waiting problem caused by data congestion. This manager is able to maximize the efficiency of a single processor.

A high voltage frequency-adapted charge pump

Abstract:This paper proposes a high voltage frequency-adapted charge pump, which includes variable oscillation circuit, voltage transform circuit and two-stage boost module. Compared with traditional inductive charge pump and PWM mode charge pump, it has two outstanding advantages of little noise and high efficiency at light loads. This circuit is based on the 0.5 μm BCD CMOS technology of CSMC. The results of applying in single-chip stepper motor driver show that this charge pump has many advantages, such as high efficiency, good stability, easy integration, fast response etc, and the maximum output current up to 3 mA.

Design of codec system for vicinity RFID tag chip

Abstract:A method was designed for achieving codec about tag chip according to ISO/IEC15693 protocol,which made codec more complete and accurate. Verilog HDL was used to created RTL models, functional simulation was carried out with ModelSim and FPGA was validated on Altera DE2-115 and RF front-end platform.Finally, not only the function was verified correct,but also the identification scope of pause width is wide, the process is more flexible.At the same time,the pressure of the RF front-end analog demodulation was reduced. It also has a certain significance to other codec implementations.

FPGA-based hardware design of HD entropy coding in AVS

Abstract:To implement hardware design of HD AVS entropy coding, through analysis of the algorithm module, code table switching, computing of codeword and exponential-Golomb encoding are designed to pipeline processing unit. Parallel zig-zag scan is taken to accelerate the speed of processing. At the same time, combinational logic which implements code table switching and code length determiner is taken to save the hareware resources.

Design of a 2.45 GHz 0.18 μm CMOS highly linear power amplifier

Abstract:Two-stage cascode structure is applied for higher maximum supply voltage and ease of matching network design. A self-biasing technique is presented that relaxes the restriction due to hot carrier degradation in power amplifiers and alleviates the need to use thick-oxide transistors that have poor RF performance. A bandgap reference is used to provide a stable DC reference which is immune to the process and temperature variations. The PA is fabricated in an SMIC 0.18 μm RF CMOS process technology, the working frequency of this power amplifier is 2.45 GHz. It is simulated with Cadence spectreRF. According to the simulation results, under 3.3 V supply voltage, the saturated output power of the designed PA reaches to 30.68 dBm and output power reaches to 28.21 dBm with a power-added efficiency(PAE) of 30.26% at 1 dB compression point. The layout size is 1.5 mm×1 mm.

Research on UVLO circuit of switching power supply controller

Abstract:For the under voltage lockout protection being an important module in the power management chips, this paper presents the optimization design scheme of an under voltage lockout circuit in a standard BCD process, to effectively reduce the hysteresis voltage drift. On the basis of the band-gap structure, the high-order temperature compensation function is introduced to the band-gap reference. Thus, the reliability of the UVLO circuit is improved without an external reference voltage and bias current. At the same time, the designed UVLO has the advantages of simple structure, low power consumption, high voltage accuracy and low temperature sensitivity. In a standard BCD process, the designed circuit is simulated by using Spectre of Cadence. The simulation results proved the feasibility and correctness of the designed UVLO.

A low-power cyclic ADC with capacitor scaling for CMOS image sensor

Abstract:A low-power cyclic ADC with capacitor scaling for CMOS image sensor is presented. To reduce the power consumption of the operational amplifier, after the quantization of the most-significant bit(MSB), the value of the sample capacitors and feedback capacitors reduces to half before. By using the offset canceling technique, the ADC can tolerate high levels of the amplifier′s offset. A 11 bit, 833 kS/s cyclic ADC has been designed in 0.18 μm CMOS technology. Spectre simulation results show that the ADC achieves a signal-to-noise-and-distortion ratio(SNDR) of 64.49 dB, a spurious-free dynamic range(SFDR) of 68.38 dB, and its power dissipation is 270 μW at 1.8 V supplies. The proposed architecture results in 32% reduction in power consumption of the ADC.

Control strategy for Z-source photovoltaic grid-connected inverter

Abstract:Based on dead zone and full bridge inverter output current waveform distortion, introduced Z-source, and designed a step-up or step-down type inverter, which had wide range of input voltage for the PV inverter system etc.. This paper studies the Z-source voltage control principle, the method of constant output current control strategy is proposed. A 1 500 W inverter is designed, the experiment proved that the design is simple and practical, and can improve the quality of the grid current.

Abstract:On the engineering background of the radio monitoring station, this paper designs a wind- solar hybrid power control system, the low power consumption is emphatically considered during the design process. Control for the distributed battery packs, solar panels and wind driven generator, is implemented by the LIN bus. A kind of non-interference power switching method is proposed and designed. The Ethernet controller achieves data transmission between workstation and base station and the remote monitoring for the base station via the wireless AP.

A fault-tolerant remedial operation strategy based on matrix converter drive PMSM

Abstract:Matrix converter(MC) as a ″green″ converter has good input and output characteristics, adjustable power factor, bidirectional power flow, small volume and so on. Because of lacking current loop, the converter prone to short circuit fault and open fault, since no direct link, both of the faults are very dangerous, seriously affecting the quality of power supply. This paper proposes a new fault-tolerant safe operation method for matrix converter. The key of the proposed method is to provide a safe and controlled path for converter switch conduction state when a fault occurs. The load can release the stored energy in a short time and reduce the damage of circuit in the inverter system. The simulation of Matlab/Simulink verifies the feasibility of the strategy and the correctness of the presented theory.

Abstract:With the application of Hall current sensor and digital voltage comparator owned by Kinetis microprocessor, a new method which can quickly identify the short-circuit fault of DC system and implement protection measure immediately was proposed. This method is the combination of hardware and software. So it is convenient to set up the action current value, the action time and the self-recovery time. Moreover, this method possesses the excellent features of minute extension and highly integration. The experiment result shows that this method owns well validity and practicability.

Design of geological disaster monitoring system based on PIC32 and ZigBee

Abstract:A geological disaster monitoring system based on PIC32 and ZigBee is designed. The system combines sensor technology and wireless technology, which can be achieved real-time data acquiring and on-line monitoring on the geological disaster-prone areas of the rainfall, displacement, slope, moisture, mud water level. The paper introduces composition of geological disaster monitoring system, focusing on design of hardware and software of wireless sensor networks of the coordinator, router and sensor node. The system is characterized by simple structure and has better data transmission in reliability and real-time ability.

Onboard multichannel debug system based on CPCI

Abstract:The status of onboard device needs to be detected during development and debug process. However, it’s hard to detect onboard device’s internal variables during train running. This paper represents an embedded debug system based on PCI bus. It can transfer the onboard device’s internal variables into real-time analog signals, which facilitates the detection of onboard device’s status. It can also output specified waveform that is beneficial to debug process.

Design and implementation of wide-range dynamic ERT system based on FPGA

Abstract:This paper describes the structure and operational principle of the electrical resistance tomography system (ERT) ,and a data acquisition and control system designed in FPGA for the electrical resistance tomography. The FPGA is used for polarity conversion of the constant current source, electrode sensor switch, data acquisition, data communication and other control functions. The implemention of the hardware is mainly described, as well as the software which is debugged. The experiment results showed that the ERT measurement system function well at high-precision online measurement of different substances’ conductivity, and the measuring range is up to 10 kΩ

Development of a synchronous acquisition system for multi-channel weak voltage signals

Abstract:To satisfy the demands for multi-channel synchronous acquisition of small voltage signals in micro-and nano-scale measurement area, a synchronous acquisition system for multi-channel weak voltage signals based on ADS1274 is developed, which uses A/D converter as the core, high-performance microprocessor C8051F120 and peripherals as the control unit, and accomplishes 4-channel voltage synchronous acquisition functions. Real-time display of measured values is realized through the design of LCD display circuit. Experimental results show that the system can realize the designed functions, with a resolution up to sub-μV level.

The control circuit design for fiber optic current transducer

Abstract:The topology and operational principle of fiber optic current transducer are introduced. A signal detection and control hardware circuit for fiber optic current transducer was designed base on a single FPGA,the parameter of key components and control method are analyzed and discussed. Meanwhile,the experiment equipment was designed using this circuit combined with fiber-current sensor head. The result shows that it can satisfy the accuracy requirements of the 0.2 S class measuring electronic transducer within range from 100 A to 4 000 A,meeting the electrical power grid for the current transformer measurement accuracy requirements.

TV goniometer size field transform system design based on cubic interpolation

Abstract:TV goniometer provides television signals to detector, at the same time also need to control the zoom television signals,for the size of the view of transformation. This paper selects the double three interpolation method to realize the view transformation effect, and improves the algorithm according to the actual needs, in order to save the FPGA system resources. Complete the system hardware design and the design flow of each module. FPGA image interpolation is used to complete the design.

A design of photoelectric solar tracking control system

Abstract:In order to study a kind of simple structure, low cost and high tracking precision sun tracking device, a two-axis tracking control system is designed, realizing the real-time tracking of the direction of the sun. LM324 is used as the core in this system, using two sets of photosensitive resistance, a model of photoelectric sensor tracking is constructed, through the different light intensity leads to the different resistance of photosensitive resistance, after using bridge type comparison circuit, again by LM324 used as comparator, controlling two DC gear motors to drive the two-axis tracking device, so as to adjust the position of the supporting set, until the fixed flat is perpendicular with the sunlight, getting the most quantity of illumination, so it can greatly improve the utilization of solar energy.

LTE frequency localization algorithm in NLOS propagation enviroment

Abstract:Based on a single reflection channel model, this paper presents a localization algorithm based on frequency for the LTE communication network in non line-of-sigh(NLOS) propagation environment. First of all, according to the channel transmission model, calculate the path loss. Secondly, according to the path loss, calculate the distance between mobile station and base station. Thirdly, the algorithm using BP neural network is able to correct the NLOS errors. At last, MS can be estimated by least-square(LS) algorithm, Simulation results show that mobile location algorithm based on the frequency of the exact locate the good effect.

Multi-gigabit balanced add-select-delay-compare Viterbi decoder

Abstract:In this paper, a novel balanced add-select-delay-compare Viterbi decoding architecture is proposed for the 60 GHz wireless personal-area network, which breaks the bottleneck of decoding speed in traditional Viterbi decoders. According to the proposed architecture, this paper designs a parallel-8 radix-2 (3,1,7) Viterbi decoder. In TSMC.13 CMOS technology, the decoder achieves up to 4 Gb/s throughput with the cost of 0.104 nJ/bit and 4.33 mm2.

An improved vertical handoff algorithm of joint radio resource management

Abstract:In this paper, we propose an improved vertical handoff algorithm joint radio resource management technologies(VHO-J) for wireless heterogeneous networks. The proposed algorithm is combined with access control, bandwidth borrowing and compensation, and load balance control to allocate radio resource based on different traffic types in process of vertical handoff. The results of simulations indicate that the VHO-J is able to reduce the dropping probability under the same block probability, and guarantee the best quality of service for voice in the four traffic types.

Implementation of identification guidance technology in WCDMA detection system

Abstract:Due to the significant requirement of user identification technology by the WCDMA detection system, this paper addresses a novel identification guidance algorithm in WCDMA detection system. In the WCDMA detection system environment, the algorithm consists of the parameter design in cell reselection algorithm, induction procedure for the location updating, construction of the detection information, and identity information acquisition with the help of the detection signal from pseudo base stations. Moreover, by using the USRP N210 platform for the testing,the fesibility and effectiveness of our proposed detection guidance algorithm can be verified.

A routing algorithm based on primary-user activity for cognitive Mesh networks

Abstract:In cognitive networks, the existing RASR routing algorithm has some redundant control overhead and does not consider channel usage ratio of the PU and results in an unstable path problem. To address these issues, a routing algorithm based on primary-user activity in cognitive Mesh networks (RPA) is proposed in this paper. RPA is designed by piggybacking the information of link status and choosing routes based on it, enhancing the route stability, improving the success ratio of data packets transmission, reducing the average end-to-end delay and the control overhead. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that RPA outperforms the RASR routing algorithm in terms of the success ratio of data packets transmission, the average end-to-end delay and the control overhead.

Blind detection of PDCCH in D2D and cellular hybrid networks

Abstract:Through the blind detection of cell users′ physical downlink control channel(PDCCH) in the LTE system, the D2D users can get the target users′ resource allocation information, improve spectrum efficiency by reusing the spectrum with the cellular system and communicate without the central coordinator. This paper offers a blind detection method of PDCCH based on "Path Metric Superiority", describes the algorithm, and proves the simulation results.

Research on channel noise of the MV power line considering the LV feedback noise

Abstract:Noise seriously affects the reliability of power line communication. In this paper, channel noises of power line and attenuation and port impedance characteristics of the distribution transformer in high frequency are measured and the noise characteristics are analyzed. This paper firstly puts forward considering the Low-Voltage(LV) feedback noise in Medium-Voltage(MV) side, and the high frequency characteristics of distribution transformer is analyzed and modeled. Feasible method of noise restrain in low voltage side is put forward, which will improve the noise environment of the MV power line channel.

Vehicle and phone wireless monitoring system of bluetooth technology based on QNX

Abstract:This paper presents vehicle and phone wireless monitoring system of Bluetooth technology based on QNX. With the mobile terminal and car-side Bluetooth SPP protocol, CAN-USB module was designed as a communications hub for both terminals, which is used to peer transceivers. Otherwise, CAN line was used to collect and configure the vehicle ECU performance parameters. Experiments show that: the program can not only monitor and control the running state of the vehicle by the phone, but also can effectively enhance the vehicle interconnectivity and intelligent.

Civil aviation 3D repair multiple scene dynamic scheduling method based on OSG

Abstract:Using on the open source software OpenSceneGraph as the rendering engine, and being combined with paging technology and multithread rendering strategy, a 3D maintenance scene tree is eslablished, This paper puts forward a dynamic scheduling method for 3D scenes that divide scene data into batches, real-time unload data from memory, and use the multithread rendering mode for real-time rendering on the scene. This method improves the key issues of high memory use rate and low frame rate. Finally, it is compared with the traditional method in 3D repair simulation software. The result proves the feasibility of this method.

Realization of pulse compression technique in all solid-state weather radar

Abstract:In order to make the solid-state weather radar has the strong detective power and the high range resolution at the same time, the pulse compression technique is necessary to be used. First of all, this article introduces the principle of pulse compression technique. After that, based on the simulation result, the paper presents the system implementation of projects, including hardware and software. Finally, the simulation is verified by detecting weather echo using solid-state weather radar. The experimental results are close to the theoretical result obtained before.

Abstract:There is less paper focusing on identifying P2P live streaming.This paper analyzes the behavioral characteristics of P2P live streaming and proposes an identification method based on node connectivity or BM packet .Then it combines two flow characteristics for identification of P2P live streaming.The experiment shows that the recognition method based on the union features can accurately and quickly identify P2P live streaming.

Abstract:To solve the problem of the real-time performance that exist in the B/S structure Information System based on MVC pattern, try to integrate Ajax technology into the design of the MVC pattern system,using the high interactivity of the Ajax technology to design Web page of the information system, to improve the data processing in the Web page. Through the DOM(Document Object Model) defines all the documents as a tree structure of data objects,at the same time DOM processing elements in the HTML document,at last deal with the objects in the Web page by Java Script code,thus to release the application of the Ajax technology in the MVC pattern,improve the interactivity of the Web page in the information system.

UUV buoyancy adaptive control system based on the CAN communication

Abstract:Aiming at the demand for medium and large long range UUV internal electromagnetic interference characteristics and buoyancy,this paper presents a CAN-based communication seawater pump buoyancy control system. The main control layer uses CAN bus to connec the control system and the execution level, which effectively reduces the effects of electromagnetic interference on the regulation system. The system has three functions, self-dive control, adaptive density compensation and aircraft attitude adjustment. The prototype is equipped with a large UUV, and passed the test to verify full functionality.

Embedded device remote upgrade system based on CDMA network

Abstract:In this paper, we propose an absolutely new remote upgrade solution for embedded device based on CDMA network in order to solve the problem of fussy process in using the emulator. The method can reach the goal of the combination of bootloader and upgrading program. At the same time, they can be embedded into application program by special“constant position” pattern. What’s more, we simplify the upgrading process by adopting virtual reset technology. The upper computer will communicate with terminal via Internet and CDMA network, support breakpoint resume and can achieve the updating schedule viewing parsed packets in data window. The experimental results prove that the solution is useful to improve the facility of firmware upgrade and can reduce the cost.
