Integration and optimization of speech codec algorithm in embedded media server

Abstract:Aiming at the implementation of an embedded media server for video conference system, the packaging and optimization techniques for speech codec are studied. This embedded system is designed based on TMS320DM8168, which has an ARM+DSP heterogeneous architecture. After optimizing and validating the G.722 speech codecs, the codec functions are packaged into xDM-compliant modules. Consequently, these modules are integrated into a framework of remote processor execution (RPE), which makes the speech codec modules executed in DSP and utilizable for the on-chip ARM. Finally, in real implementation, the codec modules are validated. The result shows that the modules have high efficiency and meet the speech codec requirement for the media server in video conference system.

The porting and development of UEFI based on ARM system

Software design of high-precision ocean tide gauge system based on DSP

Abstract:Using DSP technique and digital image processing technique in marine hydrodynamic field, the embedded software is designed in CCS and the computer software system is programmed by VC++. Under laboratory conditions, the system can not only meet the tidal gauge requirements of real-time, automation and high precision, but also its maximum error is 1.5 mm, the maximum standard deviation is 0.54 mm,in the change of tide range(0~8 m). Obviously, the performance of this system is superior than the existing similar systems in China. The research results have a certain guiding significance to improve China′s ocean tide gauge level and have more extensive application prospects.

The research on the framework of the multipoint communication through multi-system based on SNAP OS

Abstract:With the development of wireless sensor network, the demand for the network framework of multipoint communication system based on embedded devices is also increasing. This article proposes a multipoint communication system architecture based on SNAP OS. The basement of the system is based on the low power consumption wireless communication system ZigBee, which can provide a good support for mesh topology. Its upper layer is based on the traditional serial protocol. The system finally provided a set of serial communication interface for multipoint communication, which can largely facilitate the user to develop wireless sensor network, and the stability of the system is also largely improved compared to former ZigBee network.

The method and implementation of multi-channel data transmission based on DSP processing systems

Abstract:The paper proposes an approach which adopts the technology of multi-channel EDMA transfer chaining with ping-pong buffering for data transmission. Firstly,the configuration of EDMA3 controller is presented. Then the implementation process of the method is discussed. The method is verified by the experiment,in which three-channel image data is transferred synchronously to image processing system based on TMS320C6455 DSP. The result shows that,compared with the mode of respective data transmission with multi-channel, the efficiency of the data transmission would be improved by 18%, and 66% CPU resource can be saved. Furthermore, the data transmission via the proposed method is more safe and reliable.

The monitoring system research of wind power tower state and vibration unit based on ZigBee

Abstract:In order to solve the problem of tower tilted, sedimentation and unit fault,which bring unnecessary loss to wind power, a monitoring system of wind power tower state and vibration unit is proposed based on ZigBee. The system consists of collection nodes, network coordination node, as well as the monitoring center node. CC2530 is used as the processor, which controls sensors to acquire tower tilted, subsidence and vibration data,completeing the image acquisition of propeller blades by multi-node cooperative way,and then the image information meets at coordinating node. After that,the coordinating node sends the image information to monitoring center through 3G network. The system can gurantee the wind tower and units running securely and steadily.

Design of a vehicle control system based on single-channel BCI

Abstract:A vehicle control system based on portable single-channel BCI is designed and realized in this paper. The system uses TGAM1_R2.4A module to acquire EEG signal from FP1 on the forehead, and sends the signal to STM32 MCU via bluetooth modules. The attention signal is used to control the vehicle′s speed, and the eye-blinking signal and direction indicating lights are used to control the direction of the vehicle movement. Test results show that the system has the characteristics of fast response and stability on controlling vehicle speed and direction, so it can be extended to the control of the electric wheelchair.

Ku-band 0.18 μm CMOS VCO circuit design

Abstract:This paper proposes a Ku-band NMOS differential cross-coupled LC VCO with the TSMC 0.18 μm RF cmos process.To lower the phase-noise, the filtering technique is used, and to widen the tuning range, the switched-capacitor array is used, which have improved the performance. Post-simulation has shown that the tuning range is from 10 GHz to 14 GHz, and the phase noise is lower than -112 dBc/Hz @1 MHz offset in the whole frequency band. The VCO core consumes 5 mA current under 1.8 V supply voltage.

Capacitor averaging technology for reducing the non-linearity offset in parallel ADC

Abstract:This paper presents a circuit design using an integrating capacitance network to reduce offset of comparators in Flash ADC. This network consists of input offset storage capacitors of comparators and averaging capacitors. Through theoretical derivation and ADC system simulation, when the average capacitance and input offset storage capacitance values are equal, the differential non-linearity(DNL) offset and the integral non-linearity(INL) offset are reduced more than 70% by applying this capacitance offset averaging network.

Design of electrophoretic e-paper driving chip based on FPGA

Abstract:To overcome the shortcomings of ASIC′s high cost and MCU resource waste using software,the article proposes the universal driving solution for EPD based on FPGA and IP integration according to EPD′s specification and interface standard.It has developed the driven chip for different MCU interface and EPD,and the design of waveform is based on VerilogHDL and implemented as hard logic.The results of simulation and experiment reveal the validation of the design,and it gets much better performance,much lower price and better compatiability.

Abstract:This paper presents the optimization methods of structure and algorithm based on standalone. The methods of hardware and software are used to capture and track satellite signals. The ASIC of baseband signal processing perform the demodulation of carrier and the C/A code, and the software of tracking, which run in the microprocessor, controls the operations of signal processing of baseband. Microprocessor configures the fast acquisition module and the multiple channels of correlators in pipeline to achieve the purpose of saving resources and reducing power consumption of the chip.

Abstract:As the synchronization of distributed system becomes more and more important,this paper introduces the P2P of IEEE1588 based on ADI high-performance DSP chip BF518. PTP event messages are detected by the chip on the IEEE-1588 protocol TSYNC module and the accuracy of the time stamp is improved by providing hardware timestamp of event messages in order to reduce the computational error of the delay time from master to slave. This paper introduces the influence of inherent stability of clock crystal to clock synchronization accuracy, adjusting the frequency of the local clock by setting the value of addend register, in the same time, IEEE-1588 protocol precision time synchronization software implementation process is described in detail. Experimental results show that this method can greatly improve the synchronization accuracy, which can meet the requirements of such a system.

An efficient digital down converter based on multiphase structure

Abstract:DDC technology based on band-pass sampling is a key of software defined radio receiver. This paper describes a method of DDC design based on band-pass sampling. First of all, band-pass sampling method is provided in this paper, in which the ADC is moved closer to the antenna. This allows more functionality to be defined by software. Secondly, through the selection of the sampling frequency and intermediate frequency,the design allows the FPGA to produce baseband in-phase(I) and quadrature(Q) signals without the use of multipliers or lookup tables, improving the SFDR after mixing. Finally, based on the front structure, polyphase decimation filter is selected in this paper, which ensures meeting the system requirements, improving hardware utilization at the same time. System designed in this article is highly flexible and full digitization. This design has high practical value.

Realization of Rife method in FPGA based on system generator

Abstract:The high performance frequency estimation algorithm(Rife method) is established in FPGA by using System Generator. Unlike traditional design method based on HDL code and IP core, using System Generator tool,the complex algorithms can be faster and more accurately implemented in the FPGA. The design methods of every main function module in the system are described. The simulation was both done in System Generator and ISE. Finally, the correctness of the design is verified.

AES algorithm-based encryption scheme for ZigBee networks

Abstract:This paper proposes AES-CCM* security mode based on advanced encryption standard(AES) algorithm in the ZigBee networks. This paper also redefines the MSG frame type in order to improve the network transmission of payload data volume. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show the practicability of ZigBee security mechanism in AES-CCM* security mode.

Image holographic digital watermark algorithm based on Lab space

Abstract:In order to improve the robustness and invisibility of watermark, a new image holographic watermark algorithm based on Lab space is proposed on the basic of the color model, holographic and wavelet theory. Firstly, the digital watermark image is changed into the holography image through double phase modulation. Meanwhile, the host image is converted from RGB color space to CIELab space, and the two wavelet decompositions are applied to its L component. Then the watermark is embedded into the L component′s low-frequency of the two wavelet coefficients, encrypting the watermark information with holographic encryption technology, which can achieve watermark extraction. Experimental results show that the invisibility of the watermark is better, and the robustness of the attack experiment shows that extracting watermarking NC>0.9, and it has a better robustness comparing with other watermark algorithm.

Blurring detection in image forensics based on pixels direction inconsistency

Abstract:The widely used digital cameras and photo editing software bring us a new problem of tampered image. Focusing on the blurring operation in digital forgeries creation, a new digital image forensic method using pixels direction inconsistency is proposed for localization the tampering region in the digital forgeries. Pixels direction features are extracted to describe the pixels direction destroyed by blurring operation, based on this, the difference between the tampered region and the right region in the distribution of the pixels direction is used to localizing the tampering region. Experimental results show that this method can effectively detect manual blurring in a tampered image and also has a good robustness.

An improved algorithm of iris localization based on Hough transform

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to research an improved algorithm of iris localization based on Hough transform, for improving the effect of iris localization. Firstly, the pupil center is estimated by using a total of 1 rectangular window. Then, the binary edge image is transformed into rectangular region which is indicated with polar coordinates, and the rules of horizontal edge selection are used to remove the non-horizontal edge, and then the edge-selected image is transformed into cartesian coordinates. Finally,the Hough transform and the coupling relationship between the internal boundary and the external boundary are employed to determine the parameters of boundaries of the edge-selected iris image, and the mean of the biggest and the second biggest boundary parameters are chosen as the estimate of the iris boundary parameters. Experiments indicate that the proposed algorithm costs an average time of 0.152 s, and the correct rate is 98.4%.

Approach of synchronization correction in TD-LTE based on multicore embedded system

Abstract:For the problem that synchronization errors occur randomly in the TD-LTE system, an approach based on the ARM + DSP+FPGA embedded systems to achieve frame number and primitive synchronization is proposed. This method is based on TD-LTE RF Conformance Test System hardware platform, where the CPU of ARM, DSP, and FPGA work coordinately to do the synchronization correction from two aspects including frame number and primitive by GPMC. The method integrates aspects of TD-LTE system characteristics, and it has been tested in the hardware platform. The result shows this method achieves the synchronization correction of frame number and primitive as well as improves the stability of communication in TD-LTE.

Design of indoor positioning system based on inertial navigation and wireless location

Abstract:In the indoor positioning, the accuracy of the fingerprint method based on the received signal strength is low, and the simplex inertial navigation has the problems of error accumulating, so the localization algorithm based on reliability for a variety of information fusion processing is presented. The wireless sensor network platform for demonstration based on ZigBee with a variety of joint MEMS motion sensors was designed and implemented. Due to the information fusion, the establishing of the offline fingerprint library is simplified. By the analysis of experimental data, the joint positioning method has higher precision and lower implementation complexity.

Design of the data collector for digital substation

Abstract:The data acquisition system is the central link of the substation monitoring and control system. Its real-time feature and accuracy of the collection volume plays a decisive role in distribution automation. Based on taking TMS320F2812 as the main core processor and implanting the μC/OS-II real time operating system into the TMS320F2812, this paper introduced a data acquisition system which can achieve synchronous data acquisition and data transmission. It is a preferable way, for the system, to meet the demand of being highly real-time and precise.

Design of high-speed data storage system based on PCI and LVDS

Abstract:In the light of the characteristics of the large amount of data and the high rate of transmission in the image acquisition system, the solution scheme which applys the PCI bus protocol for achieving communication between PC and the data storage system and LVDS bus protocol for data transmission and mixed coding is proposed. In order to improve the rate of data storage, the interleave two-plane page programming techniques is adopted, and the writing rate can be improved to be 30 Mbyte/s, which fully fulfils the requirement of high-speed storage of the image data. Meanwhile, on-chip FIFO buffer is built for data code rate matching. Test results indicated that the data memory system proposed in this paper can receive and store image data stably and reliably.

SEMG action recognition method based on WPKPCA and SVM

Abstract:To extract surface electromyography (SEMG) features and discriminate upper limb motion mode better, a new method which combining wavelet packet kernel principal component analysis (WPKPCA) and support vector machine (SVM) is proposed. Through the acquisition of two channels of SEMG on flexor carpi radialis and brachioradialis with virtual instruments, wavelet packet kernel principal component analysis is used to extract SEMG features. Support vector machine is used to classify and recognize the characteristics of SEMG signal data. Experiments show that this method can successfully identify four kinds of motions, such as hand grasping, hand opening, radial flexion and ulnar flexion, and effectively extract the information of SEMG signal, and the action recognition rate is up to 98%.

Application of SCPI in IGBT reliability test system

Abstract:This paper elaborates the design of improved SCPI parser which is achieved by using the linked list algorithm combine with a two-dimensional array that stored function labels. This method makes the parser easier to understand and more extensible. Based on the research above, improved parser was applied to IGBT reliability test system. In this system, suitable SCPI commands were designed and transferred via Ethernet bus. After receiving the commands, the system does the command parsing function. Since this process, test system is controlled successfully by SCPI. The result of practice indicates that this application is viable.

Design of wireless infrasound acquisition system based on STM32

Abstract:A design of wireless infrasound data acquisition system with high precision and wide dynamic range based on STM32 is presented and makes the remote monitoring for infrasonic feasible.ADS1246, a 24bits highly precision Δ-Σ ADC is used along with the 8th-order,lowpass ,elliptic switched-capacitor filters MAX293 at the front-end of the system contributes to the effective data acquisition and processing ability.Using STM32 as the MCU chip enhances the reliability also reduces the power consumption. Data wireless transmission is achieved through connecting the network interface to router and access the network. The host PC programmed in the LabVIEW software ,and sends orders to the MCU via the USART.

OFDM orderly distribution resource allocation algorithm based on cognitive radio

Abstract:For the situation of poor spectrum and huge overhead to organize and search in fully distributed network, the orderly distributed model based on cognitive radio is proposed in this paper. And a scheduling algorithm and a subcarrier allocation scheme based on system are proposed. The system is not only can fully use the subcarrier diversity gain and improve the system capacity, but also can use priority subcarriers in other coverage area according to the service capacity. Simulation analysis shows that the proposed algorithm is feasible. Model can increase the capacity and use bandwidth effectively.

The design of adaptive tracking filter applied in Mode-S data link

Abstract:How to design and implement the adaptive filter for air traffic control system has become the key to realize trace filtering and target tracking. This paper firstly models the 3D spatial trajectory of the aircraft by three order Lagrange expansion, and designs data processing algorithm considering both real-time and predictive filtering effect based on this model, and proposes one ′relics-innovation′ estimation method based on ′Looking Up Table′ strategy by thorough analysis of the stability, original state, convergence and filter parameters of the filter model, which ensures both reliability and speed of system convergence. The effectiveness of the key technology in this paper is demonstrated by a series of simulations and flight tests.

OMMP algorithm based on channel estimation for OFDM systems

Abstract:Aiming at Orthogonal Matching Pursuit(OMP) commonly used in compressed sensing based channel estimation algorithm,this paper presents a modified algorithm——Orthogonal Multimatching Pursuit(OMMP) to improve efficiency of the algorithm.Compared to OMP algorithm,the modified algorithm select the more best match atoms in each iteration,to achieve the faster rate of convergence.In the numerical experiments,we simulated estimation performance and running time of two algorithms in different numbers of multipaths.The result indicates that OMMP has a similar performance with OMP,and more efficient,in large number of multipath.It can be seen that the OMMP algorithm has a certain practical value.

Codebook selected beamforming algorithm for TD-LTE systems

Abstract:To solve the problems of high computational complexity in single-stream beamforming algorithm for time division duplex (TDD) long term evolution (LTE),a new beamforming algorithm based on codebook is presented by using the idea of channel average and maximizes effective power of transmitted signals.The algorithm makes single-stream beamforming more efficient by constructing a weights codebook and searching it according to the channel estimation information. Simulations show that the algorithm reduces the computational complexity of single-stream beamforming enormously and performance loss is very small.

Research on underwater acoustic sensor array directivity and system transmission performance

Abstract:According to the multipath effect caused by the surface reflection and bottom reflection in shallow water acoustic communication,we analysis the noise in the ocean and the mechanism of multipath effect,study the relationship between the directional acoustic sensor and transmission performance in underwater acoustic channel, and discuss the advantage of underwater acoustic sensor array mode in underwater environment.In order to guarantee the effective power coupling , we design the appropriate connecting form of the elements,array driving circuit and impedance-matching circuit.The underwater experimental results show that the performance of underwater acoustic communication can be more effective with part directional acoustic array,the beamwidth of single element is less than 10°, and the beamwidth of array is less than 30°.

Fast acquisition algorithm based on BIT correction and data superposition

Abstract:In this paper, an algorithm which can effectively restrain the navigation data transition and reduce the computational complexity has been proposed by using the BIT correction and data superposition preprocessing technology when using a long integration time. The theoretical analysis results show that when the input SNR of signal is -29 dB, the integration time is 20 ms, false-alarm probability Pfa equals 0.001, the detection probability Pd achieves 0.99. The computational complexity proportion of them are 26.1%, 21.4%, 10.5%, 8.07%, against with the delay multiplication algorithm, signal compression algorithm, non-coherent acquisition algorithm, FFT parallel code search algorithm respectively, therefore the new algorithm has great advantage.

Anti-carrier deviation′s method based on Gardner algorithm in satellite communication

Abstract:In view of disadvantage of the larger bit error rate caused by signals’ carrier frequency deviation, this paper proposes a clock error detection algorithm of anti carrier deviation(AC-Gardner) based on the evolved Gardner algorithm(E-Gardner), which solves the problem that E-Gardner algorithm is easily influenced by carrier frequency offset and phase offset. Simulation results show that AC-Gardner algorithm can effectively eliminate the effect of carrier deviation, and improve the synchronization performance of the whole system under Corazza channel environment.

Computer Technology and Its Applications

On-line detecting system of gaps in screen based on image progressing technology

Abstract:According to the limitations and uncertainties of manunal vision inspection for gaps in laser-cut screen,a complete testing equipment was designed based on machine-vision. First of all, through CCD(charge-coupled device) camera, the images of gaps in screen were captured,then ultilizing the Sobel algorithm, Canny algorithm and Gaussian filter to extract width of the gaps.Finally,rapid automated on-line detecting system with high accuracy was actualized. The experimental results show that the error can be controlled within 17 ?滋m. It provids a new method for the manufacture and application of screen.

Abstract:Introduces the design and implementation of intellectual home control system based on Arduino.The system is controlled by Arduino syetem. Using a combination of sensor technology, GSM communication technology and speech control technology to achieve the intelligent control of environment temperature and humidity, the quality of atmosphere, lighting equipment and household appliances in house. The system is controlled wirelessly, operated easily and at low cost, so it is suitable for popularization.

Design of fiber-optic interface card based on PCI express bus

Abstract:Optical fiber is used for mass data transmission in a long distance. This paper realizes a design of data transmission using direct optical fiber for high resolution and high frame surveillance cameras. Wide frequency band and anti-jamming capability are necessary to long distance transmission. In order to transfer mass data between surveillance camera and computer in real time, a PCI Express fiber-optic interface card which adopts FPGA as the main controller is designed. The PCI Express driver based on WDM, which is developed by Windows DDK tools, is stable and reliable in Windows XP operation system. The driver program realizes the result transferring the mass data transmission from fiber-optic card to host memory in DMA operation,completing the instruction data transmission among application program, driver program and fiber-optic card and designing a logical interrupt response in order to process the mass data immediately.

Application of mobile Internet of Things technology in enterprise equipment management

Abstract:With the superiority of ZigBee network and intelligent mobile terminal, this paper designed and developed equipment maintenance dynamic management system for productive enterprises. Designed button pager and network coordinator based on ZigBee, achieved the enterprise information of the repair work reported. The system implemented the Android based client, dispatching and repair maintenance work process through its can control. The system adopted Web mode for dynamic management process of the enterprise information in equipment maintenance. Through bar code recognition technology,the system controled the process node, especially applicable to the large amount of equipment, repair rate is high, the deployment of production enterprises to improve the wired network information management level and management efficiency.

Periodic signal detection based on chaotic oscillator and EEMD

Abstract:For the detection of periodic signal with strong noise, a new method was proposed based on the chaotic oscillator with ensemble empirical mode decomposition de-noising. In view of the phase difference influence on detection results, a positive and negative import method was put forward to solve it, which can effectively overcome the omission phenomenon. The detection results of simulation signal and the fault of bearing vibration signal showed that the method can successfully detect the periodic signal in strong noise and enhances the chaotic oscillator detection ability to periodic signal and immunity to noise further.

The building and realization of conformance testing platform

Abstract:In view of the imperfect frame of protocol conformance testing,firstly, this paper builds a new test framework for TD-LTE system. Secondly, a reselection testing suit is exploited by the test control notation version 3(TTCN-3) to simulate. Furthermore, it compares TTCN3 simulation graphics with graphical presentation format graphics. At last, theoretical analysis and simulation results show the superiority of testing program as well as the feasibility of the platform and obtain the expected results of protocol conformance testing.

Design and implementation of multi-source information monitoring system based on underwater towed vehicle

Abstract:To meet the requirement of multi-source information monitoring based on the marine electric method detection system′s underwater towed vehicle, a kind of monitoring system was designed, which can realize quasi real time monitoring of the underwater towed vehicle′s motion state and surrounding information, and keep mutual command/data communication with the host PC. It can also command the guest equipment which was integrated in the underwater towed vehicle to perform parameters setting, electrical detecting and other operations under the the host PC. The trial result of the prototyping system shows that the system′s performance is reliable that can be widely implemented in other underwater detections.
