A power optimization method of cache-on-chip with software-hardware co-control

Abstract:The development of on-chip multiprocessor systems leads to sharp increase in the area of on-chip cache, and its corresponding leakage power has also increased. Cache line in this article are divided into 3 parts to control while the data access section is divided into metadata access and data access in two parts, each supports a variety of modes to control. The operating mode switching to control the cache into three parts enables us to reduce leakage power consumption on average by 76.78%, but the loss of the performance is up to 7.74%. Due to the large loss of performance, this paper describes an improved method of cache decay to optimize control strategies. This strategy not only losses below 3% performance but also ensures optimization of average energy consumption to nearly 75%.

Research and implementation of graphics generation circuit based on double processor

Abstract:High performance graphics generation circuit is required due to higher resolution and more complicated display content of the cockpit display system. A method about graphics generation circuit based on double processor is proposed in this paper. Hardware platform is designed based on two chip of DSP in cooperation with FPGA and SDRAM frame buffer. Graphics generation task is distributed by the main DSP and the result of task distribution is sent to the secondary DSP through linkport. Graphics generation algorithms are performed by the two DSP. The data produced by the secondary DSP is sent to the main DSP by linkport. The graphics data is written to the SDRAM frame buffer by the main DSP. The graphics can be generated and display by ping-pong operation on SDRAM cooperated with FPGA. Experiments show that the efficiency of the graphics generation can be increased by 53% in condition of the power increased by 15%.The EFIS display with 1 024×768 resolution can be generated and the frame rate is 86 f/s.

A energy efficient parallel KNN algorithm evaluated on GPU using OpenCL

Abstract:Recently, data classification techniques have been used to solve many problems. As one of the most popular classification algorithms, K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN) algorithm has been widely used. Over the past 50 years, many efforts about parallel computing have been made to improve the efficiency of KNN. A new CUDA-based parallel implementation of KNN algorithm called CUKNN has proved that the parallel solution implemented by GPU is dozens of times faster than the serial solution implemented by CPU. However, plenty of redundant computation has been done in CUKNN. This paper proposes a new parallel solution of KNN algorithm which is implemented by parallel bubble sort. Then we evaluate it on GPU-based heterogeneous computing system using OpenCL, and the result shows that the efficiency of our solution has improved 16 times.

Improved Uyghur face recognition algorithm for sparse representation

Abstract:Aiming at the problems of Uyghur face recognition effect of non-uniform illumination jamming,through the research of sparse representation of traditional methods and Uyghur face complex lighting problems,this paper proposed the method of Uyghur face analysis based on sparse representation combined with partial differential equations to improve Retinex algorithm. The methods improve the Retinex method by partial differential equations, can effectively reduce the Halo phenomenon in reflection coefficient diagram, and get the atoms to light does not change. Then sparse representations is used to realize Uyghur people face recognition in non-uniform lighting. Experiments show that this method an effectively improve the sparse representation method in dealing with complex lighting Uyghur face image recognition,and achieve robustness and high goals.

Design and implementation of FLAC hardware decoding based on FPGA

Abstract:In Hi-Fi FLAC audio player system,software decoding efficiency is low,and also occupy a large number of system resources. To solve these problems,a design scheme of FLAC audio hard decoding based on FPGA is proposed. This paper analyze the basic principles of audio coding and decoding,and introduced the design idea and implementation of FLAC decoder based on field programmable gate array(FPGA) device in detail. Verylog language be used to design and simulation verification in Quartus II. The experimental results show that the FLAC decoder is flexible, stable and reliable, and can be used as the IP core to be used in the SoC system.

Research on IGBT thermal resistance degenetate model under temperature recycle

Abstract:Insulated gate bipolar transistor(IGBT) often works in overheating and large temperature fluctuating conditions. When the heating damage accumulates to a certain degree, the failure of IGBT module is most likely occur, which lead to huge losses. Firstly theoretical analysis about failure mechanism of IGBT is done, and then use thermal resistance testing platform and accelerated aging test platform measure IGBT thermal resistance depredate data under the impact of temperature recycle. Finally, IGBT thermal resistance depredate mathematical model is established based on experimental results , with it the degenerate law of IGBT thermal resistance is obtained.

The effect and elimination of multipath interference in pulse distance measuring system

Abstract:Because of the influence of the multipath in air to ground wireless channel, the accuracy of pulse distance measuring system using pulse distance measuring principle is greatly affected. In this paper, the principle of DME(Distance Measuring Equipment) was deeply studied at first, the effect of multipath interference in pulse distance measuring system was analyzed carefully, the worst condition of multipath interference was confirmed. Furthermore, a novel eliminate scheme on multipath interference based on the first pulse delay decoding was presented, and the scheme was realized by FPGA. The simulation results show that the scheme is effective.

Design of high linearity mixer using inductive source degeneration

Abstract:This paper presents a novel linearity-improvement feed-forward amplifier whose transconductance stage use the inductive source-degeneration technology. The proposed technique is applied to a CMOS RF mixer based on a folded-type topology. Linearity improvement is achieved by cancelling the third-order transconductance terms between the inverter and auxiliary amplifiers. Simulated results show that the proposed mixer achieves a third-order input intercept point of 8.6 dBm, a noise figure of 10.9 dB, a conversion gain of 14 dB, and has the highest figure-of-merit among other linearity improved mixers that have been previously reported.

A 38 GHz power amplifier based on SiGe HBT process

Abstract:Power Amplifier(PA) is an important unit in the RF front-ends. A 38 GHz power amplifier is designed based on 0.13 ?滋m SiGe HBT process. This paper proposed a method to decrease chip area. Due to the low maximum stable gain of transistors in millimeter wave frequency band, stacked HBT structure is utilized to improve power gain of the PA. High output power, gain, and efficiency are achieved by optimizing the active devices. The simulation results show that the PA achieves an output 1 dB compression point power of 17.8 dBm, power gain of 19.0 dB, power add efficiency(PAE) of 32.3% at 1 dB compression point, and has 252 mW power dissipation.

Circuit design of a new charge pump

Abstract:When Dickson charge pump is in a multi-stage cascade, body effect can significantly reduce the efficiency of the charge pump. This paper presents a new charge pump circuit.The charge pump transmits charge with a cross-coupled NMOS switch and controls the gate of the switch using the output voltage of each stage , which effectively inhibits the body effect and increases the voltage gain. Spectre results showed that ,under the operating voltage of 3.3 V, the new four level charge pump easily achieve a high output voltage of 15 V. The charge pump circuit has excellent performance and a strong ptacticability.

A real-time system based on MEMS to evaluate tremor in Parkinson′s disease

Abstract:In order to extract the tremor information comprehensively in patients with Parkinson′s disease and assist doctors to give more scientific clinical diagnosis conclusion,a real-time system based on MEMS to aid clinical classification and quantification of tremor in Parkinson’s disease is established.Three sets of Inertial Measurement Units(IMU) are proposed to be fixed on the object's thigh, chest and wrist.A series of algorithms based on LabVIEW platform in the computer are introduced to identify four kinds of human gestures,achieve the analysis of the tremor signal and extract the character parameters. These parameters are used to design and train a binary decision tree classifier.The algorithm verification test shows that the system has good recognition rate for static posture and tremor type and the tremor evaluation parameters are reasonable.

Research on low-power consumption collector for triangular-notch weir stormwater runoff on the basic of Cortex-M3

Abstract:This paper adopts Cortex-M3 to design collection for stormwater runoff. The collection can connect with sensors through RS485 bus, and start or stop clock power for peripheral according to demand, and freely setup sleep interval to decrease consumption, and save the data by SD card with the speed of 2 M bandwidth. Collection designs a menu to setup sleep, store, system time, connection ways. Moreover, JBOSS is used to build the platform for information display and deployment. The collection have higher accuracy(<0.3 mm) and resolution(0.1 mm) than previous, and continually work twenty-nine days with 10 watt battery and maximum sixty-two sensors without charging.

Abstract:Based on the purpose of developing a distributed measurement system,construct an embedded measurement system based on B/S mode which combines network communication technology, database technology and embedded technology. By transplanting the lightweight Boa as embedded web server, transplanting lightweight SQLite as a testing database, transplanting NTP(Network Time Protocol) to synchronization system time,realized a completely distributed test system based on B/S mode. The front of the system using real-time graphics web page display, using Ajax(Asynchronous JavaScript And XML) asynchronous data transmission with the back of the system, so as to realize local dynamic refresh of the web page and optimize the process of human-computer interaction. The measurement system is verified in LAN and it is helpful to develop embedded distributed measurement system based on B/S mode in the future.

A programmable multi-routing electrical isolated signal generation system based on DDS technology

Abstract:To complete condition and dynamic calibration for the telemetry signal, the military needs to telemetry hundreds of measured signal. Purpose to provide an excitation analog signal source, a programmable multi-channel and electrical isolated source system based on DDS technology has been presented in this paper. User can use the interactive interface of the host-computer to set the parameter of the analog excitation signal system, the lower-computer will automatically generates the appropriate waveform according to the set via 485 bus, then independently outputs through 128 electrical isolation channels at most. The result shows that frequency range of the signal source is 0~8 kHz, the amplitude of the waveform can achieve 70 VP-P, ±0.2% FS accuracy. The whole system has high accuracy and versatility, broad application prospect.

Design of palm vein collection and recognition system based on Zedboard

Abstract:For ordinary camera is difficult to acquire palm vein image, this paper presents a USB infrared camera composed of OV7720 sensing chip as the vein acquisition device, which can obtains ideal vein image through the rational allocation of sensor chip parameters. For recognition algorithm based on oriented features performs low on general embedded platform, this paper presents a design of palm vein collection and recognition system based on Zedboard. In the system, processing system completes the vein image acquisition and preprocessing, and programmable logic realizes the feature extraction algorithm. Result shows that the FPGA implementation of vein feature extraction algorithm can significantly shorten the recognition time, which reduces the whole process of identification and authentication within 0.1 s.

Abstract:Aiming at large volumes, high power consumptions and wiring complexities of monitoring equipments during the temperature and humidity monitoring process of storage and transportation environment, a low power consumption embedded storage and transportation temperature and humidity monitoring system based on μcos II is presented. The system uses embedded design, then a low power strategy is proposed, which reduces the minimum of power consumption to 200 μA. The STM32F407 is choosed as central processor and the high capacity SD card is used as the system storage medium, so the volume of monitoring system is decreased to 60×80×20(mm3). The reliability of structure is analyzed by ANSYS. The wiring complexities of monitoring equipments is solved by using infrared communication to read data. The field test results show that the system has advantages of accurate monitoring, layout flexibility, and convenient data reading.

RFID localization application based on BP neural network

Abstract:In order to increase the radio frequency identification(RFID) localization accuracy, the effects of BP neural network on localization accuracy was studied based on passive RFID tag. Firstly, the RFID localization system was established based on passive RFID tag and then the corresponding BP neural network was set. Finally the effects of BP neural network on localization accuracy were validated using the experiment test bed. The results show that for the region within 60 cm×50 cm corners arranged by four antennas, the bias is less than 2 cm and the average euclidean error is less than 1 using the BP neural network based on the signal strength as the input signal from the four antennas. It can be included that the BP neural network can improve the accuracy of RFID localization accuracy.

Design of photovoltaic data acquisition system based on CPLD

Abstract:This paper designs a photovoltaic(PV) data acquisition system based on CPLD and MSP430F169 micro-controller in order to improve the output efficiency of PV array. In view of the problem of the slow speed of the traditional data collection, the complex and insecurity peripheral circuit, it develops and designs a photovoltaic power data acquisition system based on CPLD, and adopts the advanced internal FIFO storage structure. This paper uses RS232 serial port and the wireless module to communicate with PC. Experiments show that this design has a high speed data acquisition, low consumption and the transmission is stable and reliable.

Abstract:To satisfy the requests of data acquisition system for array signal in amplitude-phase consistency, high speed and large volume, a kind of data acquisition system for array signal based on FPGA is designed. The system uses the synchronous A/D converter as the core to synchronous sample input signals. With the cooperation of control unit based on FPGA, the system has the ability to synchronous sample the array signal, the road number of which is reach up to 128. With the use of 88E1111 as the net PHY chip, the system can use the user datagram protocol(UDP) to communicate with the upper computer by the gigabit Ethernet, so the large volume can release high-speed transmission. By test, system releases the acquisition and transmission of array signals, the road number of which is reach up to 128. At the same time, the system also have good amplitude-phase consistency, high speed and stability.

Kernel least logarithmic absolute difference algorithm aganist impulsive noise

Abstract:This paper presents a robust kernel adaptive filter algorithm, which combines the kernel space and the least logarithm absolute difference(LLAD) algorithm, it uses logarithm as its cost function to solve the impact on the convergence of algorithm which caused by the impulsive noise, then improve the anti-interference performance of the algorithm. Kernel least logarithm absolute difference(KLLAD) algorithm achieves the comparable convergence performance with the kernel least mean square(KLMS) algorithm while the KLLAD algorithm is robust against impulsive interference. The good performances in terms of robust and convergence performance are demonstrated in nonlinear system identification.

A two-dimensional joint acquisition method for DS-MSK signal

Abstract:In view of the special characteristics of the MSK signal and the influence of the Doppler frequency offset on the acquisition of PN code in highly dynamic environment, a two-dimensional joint acquisition method for MSK signal was proposed .Firstly,the DS-MSK signal was structured into an approximate expansion of DS-BPSK signal.Secondly, the two-dimensional acquisition algorithm based on the Doppler compensation and FFT was applied to search the pseudo code phase and carrier frequency and then get the estimation value of them. In the end, the graph of the result for the the two-dimensional acquisition algorithm and the curves of the detection probability and false alarm probability changing with SNR under the condition of constant false alarm were given.The result shows that the acquisition method designed according to the technology can complete the two-dimensional acquisition quickly and accurately.

Hybrid trust evaluation model based on trust properties in cloud computing

Abstract:Considering the problem that cloud users will select a security and trusted cloud service provider(CSP),a hybrid trust evaluation model based trust properties was proposed. This model evaluates security capabilities of CSP with hard trust mechanisms and evaluates credibility of CSP with soft trust mechanisms, and establishes a mechanism which monitors time decay. The experimental results show that this model results are closer to the CSP’s actual trust value.

An orthogonal wavelet transform multi-modulus blind equalization algorithm based on simulated annealing DNA genetic algorithm

Abstract:For the disadvantages of orthogonal wavelet transform multi-modulus blind equalization algorithm(WTMMA), such as slow convergence rate, large mean square error, and immerging in partial minimum easily, a WTMMA based on simulated annealing DNA genetic algorithm(DNAGA-WTMMA) was proposed. The algorithm combines simulated annealing algorithm with DNA genetic algorithm to improve the ability of local search of DNA genetic algorithm by using annealing operation of SAA for individual. Meanwhile, adaptive mutation probability was used in DNA genetic algorithm to improve the performance of the algorithm. According to the characteristics of blind equalization algorithm, SADNAGA was applied to WTMMA to optimize the equalizer weight vector. Computer simulations show that, compared with multi-modulus blind equalization algorithm(MMA) and WTMMA, the proposed algorithm was improved in convergence rate and mean square error significantly.

Abstract:Traditional network architecture is closed and ossified. It’s difficult to deploy new network protocols and novel applications, In software defined network, the control an data planes are decoupled, which provide a new network management solutions, and the network of programmable ability has been opened. Manage terminal access and data forwarding through the controller, and Improved flexibility and controllability. A novel network architecture accounting for MAC control and network security has been proposed of this paper, deployed in real networks. The feasibility and reliability of this method is proved by experiments.

A tradeoff between PAPR and throughput by using the hybrid subcarrier allocation

Abstract:As PAPR and throughput can′t be satisfied at the same time in multicarrier communication. This paper is devoted to recover the effects of block sparse degree to the PAPR and throughput and come up with a hybrid subcarrier allocation scheme which combined interleaved block allocation and localized block allocation. The simulation results show that the PAPR and throughput will increase with the decreasing of the block sparse degree. The proposed hybrid subcarrier allocation scheme has an advantage that it is more flexible and can be set to multiple gradients, so it can make a proper tradeoff between PAPR and throughput.

Fast implementation of adaptive image segmentation based on neighborhood processor

Abstract:Image segmentation is an important part of digital image processing technology, and the quality of image segmentation affects the results of the following algorithm directly. We use an adaptive threshold segmentation method,which consist of Sobel and Bernsen algorithm to solve the problem of non-uniform illumination image segmentation. The algorithm is implemented on field programmable gate array. After the actual test, the method can achieve the segmentation for the non-uniform illumination image. It takes 0.308 ms to meet the needs of the practical application.

Underwater sensor deployment based on grid division and virtual forces

Abstract:Underwater Sensor Network(USN) has the problems including sparse node deployment, expensive nodes, great network deployment cost, complex environment. Thus, a deployment strategy based on grid division and virtual forces is designed in this paper. In this strategy, the three dimensional Space-filling polyhedron is studied, the surface of water is divided into some certain size grids, and virtual force algorithm is run on the nodes to spread evenly. Nodes which fall in the same grid adjust the rope distance between the underwater sensor node and the float node to construct a 3D underwater network. The simulation results show that the strategy can achieve higher coverage quality with smaller number of nodes, thus effectively reduce the deployment cost of the network.

Research of direct power control for BLDCM

Abstract:Based on the BLDCM active power and reactive power analysis, compared with the vector control and direct torque control,deduced the relationship between electromagnetic torque and rotor flux,proposed direct power control(DPC) method based on the power switch table BLDCM. The simulation and experimental results show that use direct power control strategy of speed control system to improve the control system power factor, reducing the time to reach steady state, and the torque ripple, in the practical application of the method has a good prospect.

Wind speed correction and short-term wind power prediction based on OS-ELM algorithm

Abstract:As time goes on, the applicability of the wind power prediction model is gradually reduced, which causes decline of prediction accuracy. To solve this problem, online update strategy of short-term wind power prediction model is proposed in this paper based on online sequential-Extreme Learning Machine(OS-ELM) algorithm, OS-ELM model established solidify the historical data of wind farm to the implied layer output matrix, and when updating model, simply use new produced data to update current network, which greatly reduces the resources required for the calculation. Extreme Learning Machine(ELM) is used to correct predicted wind speed of numerical weather prediction(NWP) and make secondary correction for the predicted power based on wind power and confidence intervals. Experimental results show that the applicability of updated model by OS-ELM is enhanced, and the prediction accuracy is improved. With wind power confidence intervals of the power correction model, the prediction accuracy of wind power has improved significantly.

A novel efficient adaptive packet segmentation scheme in CICQ switches

Abstract:In order to operate on variable-size packets in CICQ(Combined Input Crosspoint Queued) switch effectively, segmentation and reassembly(SAR) is generally used to segment packets into cells to be switched. Existing packet segmentation schemes have the disadvantage of low switching efficiency and poor flexibility in dynamic network traffic. In this paper, a novel efficient adaptive packet segmentation scheme for CICQ switch is proposed. The main idea is modifying the segment size flexibly according to the status of input queues, and performing packet segmentation based on cell-merging, to adapt different traffic flows and packet lengths in network environments. Simulation results show that the proposed packet segmentation scheme is can exhibit excellent delay performance and system stability superior to existing variable-size multipacket segments scheme under various traffic models.

A ZCS soft-switching full-bridge DC-DC converter with auxiliary circuits

Abstract:Aiming at the problems of zero voltage zero current switching(ZVZCS) full-bridge DC-DC converter in high power application, a zero current switching(ZCS) soft-switching full-bridge DC-DC converter with auxiliary circuits is proposed in this paper. The outstanding feature of the ZCS converter is that it allows its main power switches to operate with zero current switching(ZCS) by using two simple auxiliary circuits. A 3 kW converter was designed, and the experimental waveforms show that the leading leg and lagging leg of the converter are operated with zero current switching. Finally, a comparative study was done on the ZCS converter and the ZVZCS converter. It can be seen that the ZCS converter is more efficient than the ZVZCS converter in high power application.

Design on programmable AC power based on fitting output by DAC

Abstract:A new method of using two inbuilt 12 bit DAC of processor STM32F103ZET6 to fit the waveforms for output program was proposed, to deal with the problems of DC-AC based programmable AC power, such as low frequency and phase adjustment resolution, high harmonic superposition difficulties, the output waveform distortion and so on. CPU calculates the desired waveform points, through fitting output by DAC, power amplifier, filters, transformers and other aspects of processing and then adopt the digital PID algorithm combining feedback signals, so that the final output signals can rapidly and stably reach the preset value. Verified by testing, by applying this design to programmable AC powers, the resolution of frequency and phase adjustment significantly improved, each harmonic can be superimposed conveniently, and the output waveform quality significantly improved.

Research on suppression of current harmonics in grid-connected inverter of power electronic load

Abstract:To suppress current harmonics in single-phase grid-connected inverter, a control strategy of band-pass regulator and disturbance observer is proposed on the basis of band-pass regulator used in the current loop. The method is a combination of classic and modern control, by which the interference of grid-connected output current caused by disturbance from forward channel in current loop. The background of band-pass regulator is first introduced. Then the basic principle and its advantages and disadvantages of the disturbance observer method are discussed. Finally the control scheme of BP regulator based on disturbance observer method in the current loop of the grid-connected inverter and the design of voltage loop are given.
